Love.

Love. Something we all experience in life wither it be with food,a toy, a place, or maybe a even a person. My love was for a person.....preferably Zach. Naima and I spent almost the whole night talking about Ben and Zach. Turns out they had been dating for 2 months now and I didn't even know it! What a friend I am. After Naima dozed off to sleep...I had a very interesting conversation with Zach:

When I got to the park,he was already there on the swing. We just played and talked for a while. "So you know earlier today you asked me what happened?" I ask randomly. "Yeah why?" He says. "Well what happened was some boy said I was flat and that really hurt" I say as tears fight to stay back. "My whole life boys have told me I was flat and that no boy would ever love my body" I say as tears start to fall. "Well...I think your body is beautiful the way it is...in fact, you are gorgeous,smart,funny, and talented." He says. "You know I have had a crush on you for 2 years now" he says. "Wait what" I say as I blush. Thank GOD it is dark and he can't see how red my cheeks are. "Ha yeah I find you adorable...I know weird right?" He says as he pushes me on the swing. "No not weird I like you too like a lot" I say. He says nothing. What did I just say?!? What if he thinks that is weird? "Wow I never thought you would like me...would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow night?" He says as moves to the swing next to me. "I would love to! Where should I meet you at" I say. "Meet me? No I am picking you up and we are going to a restaurant, but the name is a surprise" he says. Wow. A guy has never asked me any where, so this was something I had never experienced. "Okay then" I say. My stomach flutters with excitement.

Last night was filled with excitement and well....love. As I sit in my Saturday morning core class, I think about my date with Zach tonight and how much fun it will be. "Hey Kaylynn" Zach says he gets closer to his seat. "Hey Zach.. Did you get back to your dorm okay?" I say. "Ha yeah I woke up my dorm mate, Jack,but he was okay" Zach says. I start to giggle. "I can't wait for date tonight Kaylynn" he says as he grabs my hand. "Same here ." I say. "Alright class take your seats." My teacher says. Great now the day of torture begins 😑

As I sit in my dorm room, I look at the clock. "Okay Zach will be here at 8:30, so I have about 2 hours to get ready." I say to Naima. "I am sooo happy for you Kaylynn" Naima says with joy. Thanks and all because you gave him my number" I say with a grin. The door gets a knock at it. "Who is that" I say to Naima. "A special surprise" she says walking towards the door. "SURPRISE!!" Angie yells. "Omg Angie!!" I yell. Angie is Naima and I's bff. Angie used to go here,but she moved to a better college out of state. WAYY out of state. "Naima how did you get her here" I ask as I pull them both into a hug. "Magic" she says. We all laugh. "I heard you were going on a date,so I had to come as soon as I could" Angie says with a smile. "Okay so I am doing hair and Angie is doing make up" Naima says. "Umm okay sure" I say. "Yay the three musketeers are back together again!!" Angie says. We all laugh.

It is 8:24, and no Zach. Maybe I am early? Maybe he is late? Well duh he was supposed to be here 4 minutes ago.

Zach pov:
I look at the time it is 8:25 now..oh sh** I have to hurry up
Zach's outfit:

"This will have to do" I sat to myself. I race down to the girls area and knock at kaylynn's door. "Hi Zach" Naima says. "Hi, I am sorry I am late.... Is Kaylynn here?" I say hoping for the answer to be yes. "Yeah...Kaylynn your boyfriend is here" Naima yells. I love the way she says "kaylynn's boyfriend". Kaylynn steps in front of the door and closes the door behind her. "I am sorry I am late Kaylynn I put on 5 different outfits so I was late." I say. "No worries everyone is late sometimes" she says. I look at what she is wearing. Wow. She looks gorgeous. "You look great Kaylynn." I say. "Thanks and you look very handsome" "ha thanks" We step outside. It starts to thunder and there is lightning and rain starts to hit my face. "Really!! Wow right when we are about to leave" Kaylynn says "ughhhhh I know right! Well we can hang in my room. I have candy and pizza I ordered just in case it rained" I say. "Wow you thought of everything" she says. I grab her hand and hold it tight. "I just wanted to make this night amazing" I whisper. We run hand and hand into the building.
