Yoongi was jostled out of his thoughts by a hand on his shoulder.
There stood Jungkook in all his glory, showing his cute bunny teeth smile which made Yoongi's worries disappear for a moment.
Yoongi couldn't help but smile back at the adorable maknae, he could be sad later, right now Jungkook was important.
"Hey hyung! Do you wanna go out with me after practice today? Everyone was doing something so even I thought..."
Yoongi could only scrunch up his face in confusion when jungkook trailed off, did he need help in producing?
"That we could hang out, ya know? We haven't really done for a while..."
Jungkook continued, immediately noticing Yoongi's confusion. To say yoongi was taken back would have been justified since none of them really hung out alone with him. Sure, they'd sometimes go out to eat something for dinner if he'd spent too long in the studio or if it was one of the major events. Yoongi wasn't exactly the most entertaining person to hang out with, sure he could keep making conversation with people but there was nothing fun he talked about. Of course, Yoongi hesitated before agreeing. Jungkook was aware of what he was signing up for right? Did he really want to waste his precious few hours of relaxation with Yoongi?
"...uhh yeah, yeah sure. So what do you want to do?"
Jungkook's eyes lit up and Yoongi felt his heart combust, making someone happy- especially as cute as Jungkook-was enough to make him forget his sorrows for a while.
The younger boy turned his head away temporarily, a thoughtful look in his eyes as he stared at the wall, probably deep in thought about what he wanted to eat. Jungkook's grumbling stomach gave away his starving state, as he smiled sheepishly at Yoongi; a light blush adorned his face. Yoongi could only shake his head, a hint of a smile on his lips. The maknae was going to be the death of him.
And suddenly, a place popped up in his mind.An old, vintage shop a few kilometers away from the main building, with large, faded red signs reading 항상. They sold one of the best lamb skewers for only 4100 won. It was a small shop, run by an old japanese woman who had moved around twenty years to seek solace after her husband committed suicide. Yoongi had spent countless chatting with her in their pre-debut days when his social anxiety wasn't as bad, and it wasn't like his bandmates were super social either. It was easy to talk to her, she was a timid lady, after all- and her soft smile reminded him of his mother's from the early years of his childhood. Before he and his mother began getting into fights about his future; a delicate purity in their relationship- something which had been stained by the pressures of the society, destroying the beautiful relationship they used to have.
When Jungkook looked back at him, a lopsided smile on his face, Yoongi knew the younger hands decided anything.
"Jungkook-ah, do you want to have lamb skewers?"
Jungkook shrugged slightly, "I have never had any...I don't know."
At that Yoongi's eyes widen in bewilderment, "never? You've never had them? Guess you're in luck today then, Kookie-ah. C'mon, it will be the best lamb skewers you've ever had!"
Jungkook giggled at that, there were a few things which Yoongi would ever get excited at- apparently good food was one of them.
