Chapter One

"Give me your arm"

A burly women wearing a surgical mask and a long white coat reaches for my arm .

"Why?" I pull back .

"All part of the simulation sweetie" The last word is said sarcastically and I know that much . Grabbing my arm , she injects a blue liquid into the crook of my arm . I pull back in pain and she smiles sourly before moving to the next victim .

The hovercraft whirs and begins its descent to the earth . The women who injected my arm stands at the front of the hovercraft .

" I am Miss Butch" Appropriate "This is a school where you learn where you fit into your society . You will undergo a series of tests through the simulation . This will clarify your weakest and strongest points . Answer and react to everything as you would normally . Don't act how you think we want you too . That won't help anyone .

I will be watching over you the next couple of weeks . Good Luck"

She moves aside after receiving a small around of applause . The belts holding us in these seats release and slide back into the walls . Called up one by one we are lined up in order of our last name . My last name is Walker so I'm near the back next to a girl named Wilde Madeleine . She stands in silence behind me , brown eyes piercing my back . We're led off the aircraft that vanishes in seconds in a gust of wind . I watch it longingly as it disappears over the forests high trees . I take in the surroundings . Trees spread for miles and I can't find any school or base . I'm surrounded by 49 other sixteen year old kids and I don't know any of them . I vaguely recognise a boy with brown hair stood five people ahead of me . I want to shrink back , take comfort in the shade the trees provide . When everyone in front of me begins to move forward I follow unwillingly . Part of the forest floor falls away and leads down a dark tunnel lined with metal . Before we are allowed to enter , a boy around 18 attaches a silver band around everyone's wrist . When the metal clips around my wrist it beeps and a green light flashes up then I'm moved forward into the darkness of the tunnel .

When we are all stood in the pitch black and the door closes with a screech a loud voice comes through speakers attached to the ceiling .

"Welcome new students . Tomorrow the simulations , tests and activities will take place . Follow the green lights on the floor to your dorm rooms . There will be a buffet then lights out. Follow the instructions and nobody gets hurt "

Sure enough green lights shine up in a path on the floor and we all follow to our dorm rooms . That's when the screaming begins
