Roman PovI know. I know. Dean and I need to have a long and serious discussion. About us, what we had and what had happened between us. It wasn't supposed to end this way. I thought I had made it perfectly clear that I wasn't interested in dating Dean. He told me from the beginning what he wanted. He wanted to date me. I told him that it wouldn't be good for him and that he should run while he had the chance, but that naive beautiful boy saw me as a project. Something he could fix and I let him. And once he was done I left.
The bell rang signaling the start of the class which meant I should head out of the locker room into the gym. I tied my shoes and left. In the main gym I saw Seth and Dean sitting together where Seth and I sat everyday, waiting on the teacher.
"Good afternoon! Today we will be starting a unit on weight lifting and the proper techniques used by Olympic Lifters. But first we have a new student. His name is Dean Ambrose." Said our teacher Coach Frank. "We will be lifting in groups of three. One lifter two spotters Everytime we workout."
Coach went on to assign groups. ".... Rollins and Reigns..." he paused looking around. 'Please not Dean' I thought. "Ambrose" coach said. Shit. The coach led us to the weight room and told us to get familiar with our group mates and the equipment. Training would begin the next day.
I strolled over to a rack of weights in the back corner away from the rest of the groups. I could feel some of them glaring at me as I passed. Like I said I'm not very well liked around here. If they have a problem with me, we can fight it out. Seth followed me to the corner with Dean trailing behind him. He looks scared and confused. My face hides emotions well but like Dean I'm terrified of how this will play out. I hurt him. He knows it. I know it. Hell the whole world probably knows.
Seth's voice interrupted my thoughts and he suggested that we get to know each other since Dean was "new" .
" Where are you from Dean? " Seth asked. " A town called Wartshog." Dean replied with a grimace. "Hey Ro, didn't you used to live there too?" Seth turned to me. I gave him a curt nod and started counting down the time until class ends.
After class we went into the locker room to grab our things before leaving school. "I don't know my bus number or stop." Dean said.
"Roman and I can take you home today" Seth told him.The three of us headed to the student parking lot towards my black Camaro. Seth got in the passenger seat and Dean sat behind him. This car ride will be hell. This is so awkward for me no doubt for Dean as well. Seth still doesn't know about what he had or how we were.
I dropped Seth off at home first and then Dean moved into the Passenger seat so he could program the GPS to his new house. The car had been silent since Seth got out. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Dean looking at me and when he suspected I saw him he looked away. After a few minutes, we arrived at his new house.
It looked nice and I briefly wondered how his parents were, no doubt they would be angry that I was around their son again. I can't say I blame him.
"Dean...." I said as he started to get out. He looked at me with confusion. For a few moments he did nothing then leaned forward and pressed his lips against mine.
Sparks raced up my arm as memories surfaced in my head. He pulled away and got out of the car. "Thanks for the ride" he said and closed the door.
My brain struggled to process what just happened and why after all this time did he still feel that good?
Wow.
