"Anna! Come on! It's your turn"

I look down and see Mya waving her arms at me frantically. I walk to the side of the pool and get ready to jump. The pool is already occupied by my three friends Mya, Hannah and Stacy, who all seem to be enjoying themselves. Although I ain't really a big fan of the water I decide not to spoil their fun by refusing to join them in the pool. I also see Tom walking over, another reason to jump.

"Is someone too scared to jump? Ansy pansy afraid of a little water?"

I turn my head towards Tom and scruntch my face up, sticking out my tounge just before I jump into the pool and the cold water hits my body. It takes my body a while to adjust itself to the tempreture of the water till I'm comfortable. I glare up at Tom to see him grinning back down at me.

"See I told you there was nothing to be afraid of"

Tom is the eldest of my three brothers, very annoying but still not as bad as Josh. Tom is stood there with his dark messy hair, his strong jaw line and long staright nose. He's wearing his swimming trunks and his perfect abs that he's formed from spending hours in the gym are on full display. Although some may say he's attaractive, to me his personality made him all the more ugly.

"Pool times over lil sis, time to run back into your lil room where you belong. You can leave your friends behind if you like. I'll make sure to keep them entertained" Tom says suggestively as he winkes over at Mya, whose cheeks are now rosy red. Mya is half Spanish which explains her beautiful olive skin and glossy dark hair. Her straight nose, beautiful eyelashes and long legs all just added to the rest of her perfect features. She really was beautiful, but definitely stupid for being attracted to my pig of a brother.

"No thanks, we'd much rather drown." Speaks the voice of reason, Stacy. Although she was the youngest of us all, she seemed to be the one with all the answers. Stacy unlike Mya understood my brother's pereverted intentions and would never let herself fall as low as being sucked in by his good looks and flirty manner. Stacy was the tomboy, loved sports, never missed a game of football and hated shopping. It was always a mission persuading Stacy to accompany us to the mall or a party. Stacy like me wasn't very socialable, she preferred spending time on her own rather than with other loud and annoying teenagers who only ever seemed to want to talk about boys, clothes and make up. I always felt Stacy understood me better than the rest, as she would always support my decision when I'd refuse to go out and 'play'. Stacy had big brown eyes and short brunette hair, she was very petite but her loud mouth definitely made up for her lacking height. She'd never shy away from an argument and was always there when we needed her, and thats why we all loved her.

"You sure about that shorty? It's only a one time offer"  Tom asks bending over and holding out his hand.

"Positive." replies Stacy totally ignoring his gesture, pulling herself out of the pool and walking straight past him. Hannah began to giggle as she swam to the side of the pool. Unlike Stacy she accepted Tom's hand and made her way over to where Stacy was now stood drying her hair. Hannah was the tallest of us all,  with the longest legs I'd ever seen and strawberry blonde hair. She had a cute button nose and rosy red cheeks to go with her round face and snow white skin. She was also the only one who was in an actual relationship. Freddie was a great guy who she loved dearly, also making her immune to Tom's charm.

Tom stood up to his full height, he winked at Stacy once again as he dove into the pool,  splashing us all. That was my cue to leave I thought as I climbed out of the pool with Mya following close behind and made my way towards the other two. I retrieved my towel from the deck chair and began drying my brown hair. Like Tom I also had a long straight nose supported by big eyes, full lips and a round face. I was of average height and considered myself average when it came to looks too. I wasn't as beautiful as Mya but I knew I wasn't ugly either.

"Let's go guy's I've got to leave soon, mum will kill me if I'm late for dinner again." exclaimed Stacy. That was something none of us wanted as we all knew it would end in hours of Stacy ranting on about how her mother still treated her like a child. So we all picked up our belongings and headed inside towards my room. Once we reached my room we all began changing and the others began packing their belongings away.

"So are you guys all ready for Chase's party tomorrow night?" asks Hannah excitedly.

"Do we have to go"  moaned Stacy.

"I'd actually prefer staying in too." I also reply.

Hannah just rolls her eyes and shakes her head before responding.

"We know you would, but like I said yesterday no excuses, you guys need to spend more time out of your stupid rooms and in the real world."

"I think it'll be fun" replies Mya as she shrugs her shoulders. Great, looks like I'm going to a party tomorrow.

Once we're all changed and everyone has packed we all exchange goodbyes and they all leave for their own homes. As I head back to my room I remember the first day we moved in. The house I'm standing in was a former foster care home which had been vacant for over a year and with my dad's promotion we were able to purchase the big house my mother always wanted and transform it into a family home. Being the youngest I was landed with the smallest room, but the best. I loved my room and I'd never exchange it for anything.

"I'm going to have to find something to wear," I say as I enter my room frowning.

"You know how much I hate going to parties, and urggh dressing up! I wish I could just stay here with you." I continue as I glance over to the chair in the corner where he's siting.

"Anna!" I hear as my door flings open. I quickly turn to see my mother standing in my doorway with my washing.

"Were you talking to someone?" my mother questions looking around the room. "I thought I saw the girls leave."

"Yes mum they've gone," I look back at the now vacant chair and reply "There's no one here, I wasn't talking to anyone."
