Mingyu threw on his hoodie and waved goodbye to his friends. They were hanging out and drinking at his place but Mingyu couldn't get in a good mood. He loved his friends but he knew what he wanted and unfortunately they couldn't give it to him. He went out late at night because was up to his bad habits. Of course, his friends tried to stop him because they knew what his "antics" were. Go to the club, get drunk with strangers, and hook up with someone. It was incredibly dangerous and his friends hated it, but Mingyu was lonely no matter how much Mingyu insisted he wasn't.
He pulled up his hood. Tonight, he wore an all black outfit to try and blend in with the dark sky. He threw a cigarette in his mouth and pulled out a lighter. Just as he was about to light it, someone walking into a cafe caught his eye. Usually, he would walk straight to the club, but something about this man made Mingyu's heart jump into his throat. He decided to put the cigarette and lighter back in his pocket and turned straight into the cafe.
He went to stand in line and ordered something he couldn't be bothered to care about. When he got whatever it was he ordered, he glanced to where the man sat. It was a booth so Mingyu decided to sit a booth away from him. The man pulled out his cellphone and presumably started scrolling through a social media app, laughing softly occasionally. Mingyu pulled out his phone as well and kept glancing at the man. It was obvious that Mingyu wasn't at the cafe for the surprisingly fast internet. And as much as he didn't want to admit, this man made it feel like his heart was going a million miles an hour especially when he laughed. Eventually, the man finished his milkshake and put it off to the side but kept scrolling on his phone.
Mingyu decided to get one last stare before leaving. He considered talking to the man but he realized that whenever he went through the scenario in his head, it made him more scared then he thought. What if he messed up and embarrassed himself? He usually had no problem talking to people but this man made his face red everytime he smiled. Right when Mingyu was about to look away, the man met his gaze and Mingyu was so embarrassed he could die. God, he's really pretty. Before Mingyu could react, the man stood up and started walking away.
Mingyu hurried out and banged his knee against the table in the process. After he was done overreacting about his knee, he ran up the man before he could think about what he was doing. The man smiled. Mingyu cleared his throat even though his throat was dry.
"Yes?"
The man asked."Ah...um..I was just..uhh..."
Mingyu stuttered out. The man laughed lightly. Yep, Mingyu could die happily. He was sure of it..
"Umm...sorry."
Mingyu chuckled awkwardly."No worries, it's ok."
The man reassured. Mingyu was pretty sure that this man wasn't even a man. He was an angel."I'm Mingyu."
Mingyu finally managed out."I'm Junhui."
Mingyu for whatever reason just kept staring at Junhui's smile.
"Um..I don't mean to be rude, but was there something you needed?"
Junhui asked.Mingyu felt a surge of confidence from...somewhere he want sure where it came from.
"Your number."
He smiled. Junhui smiled but only to laugh. Mingyu finally realized what he just said and blushed.
"Ah..sorry."
Mingyu apologized."No, I'm sorry. I'm laughing because you looked so shy and then you came at me with that line."
Junhui made out between laughs. Mingyu kept blushing.
"I thought you would be use to this..."
Junhui mumbled after he was done laughing."What do you mean?"
Mingyu asked a little frantically."....you just have that look I guess."
Junhui answered after a while."So, about that number..."
Mingyu smirked. Junhui rolled his eyes and laughed. Mingyu took his phone out and handed it to Junhui. Junhui put his number in Mingyu's phone and handed it back to him."Talk later?"
"Yeah.."
"Bye, Mingyu."
"Bye, Junhui."
Mingyu waved. Before he left, Junhui smirked and waved and Mingyu was pretty sure he saw that smirk before.....possibly when he was drinking under flashing neon lights when he was up to his bad habits.
