A loss so great

Sophia walked out of her room slowly, she was careful not to make noise she could easily avoid.. She heard the same strange noise she heard from before in the kitchen… it sounded like banging around.. It was an intruder!! She thought..
   She quickly grabbed a bat from her room just in case...
Sophia crept slowly upto the kitchen door. She held the bat tightly, sweating dramatically.. She slowly had gathered up the courage to open the door...
 As she quickly opened the door and saw a horrifying sight. She stood terrified in the doorway of her kitchen…
 She looked at the thing in her kitchen.. It was a drooling, dripping with blood, moaning.. It was a beast… it hung over her dog, Russell... he looked to have been shredded to pieces by the beast... She dropped the bat in fear and started to cry... the beast started to wonder and stumble toward her. The thing was bloody, had cloudy eyes, ripped clothes... It looked like it was from a horror movie… She quickly exited the room and locked the door behind her. She had no idea what was going on...
She ran towards her Mother and Fathers room, but quickly stopped in front of a big window. As she looked out she could see millions of the strange creatures… they were everywhere… pounding on doors… some of them were making their way towards her door..
She moved a table quickly in front of the door and ran to her parents bedroom, hoping they were still inside… she knew what was happening, she had read and saw this happening in movies and shows, but she simply didn't take to much of a notice to it.
She ran quickly, stopping to move a table in front of the back door. She heard the walkers pounding on her walls, windows, and doors. She started to cry, she didn't want to make more wracet…
  She ran up the hallway and grabbed a small lamp from her room. She got to her parents bedroom and awaited to see if they were there or not… She herd more pounding and soon heard glass break. She quickly turned around and ran toward the window that broke. She saw many of the mysterious things trying to crawl up into the window.. Her thoughts started to race as she quickly heard the door behind her pound aswell, the kitchen door! The bat! A knife!  She thought as she quickly ran towards the kitchen door…
She unlocked it then swung it open real fast so the thing fell out of her way.. She was dripping sweat but didn't waste time to think about it. She just ran through the kitchen, running over to the largest knife she had. The walker was sprawled out on the floor, trying to get up…
..Sophia had previously done research on this topic and knew what to do… she was terrified, she knew some steps to surviving this... Well, from movies and shows anyways… she ran toward the now standing creature and stabbed the beast in the head..
Blood spreading all over herself and the floor.. it fell to the floor and she congratulated the moves for getting that part of things right... She seen some of the walkers crawling up the broken window. She killed a few of them and ran towards her room... She heard something pounding on her parents door, and immediately knew what had happened. She opened the door to her parents room slowly.. She started sobbing once she saw her parents..but… they weren't her parents anymore… they were monsters… She knew what to do.. But she couldn't bring herself to it… she couldn't leave them here… like this…
She eventually got the courage to do it… to kill her own parents…. she slowly stabbed the two walkers in the head… Dropping them to the floor… she started to back away when she heard some of the walkers walking towards the hallway. She looked once more at her slaughtered parents, and then bolted to her room sobbing… she locked her door and awaited the herd be gone from her town…

It had been a few days, no power, no food, no water… Sophia decided to then go outside into the hall to get to the kitchen for food and water.. She didn't hear anything outside and opened her door with caution.. She had packed a small bag with a sleeping bag and a few other things around her room.. She had also changed her clothes into a shirt with a coat, and some white jeans with a black belt... She had her locket her parents gave her for her birthday since it was the last thing she could bring with her that her parents had given her not to long ago…
She slowly stepped out of her room and stepped over her parents.. Her bag was heavy, but she got used to it quickly..
As sophia reached the kitchen she saw her dog again and the rotten sent that came with his corpse.. She felt bad for the poor thing but kept going.. She grabbed as much as she could fit in her bag, eating some of the leftover chinese she had the night before all of this went down…
She walked out of the kitchen and wiped her face with her sleeve.. She went outside because she knew she couldn't stay in her house the whole time… she could scavenge?… after she stepped outside she saw some of the walkers wandering around.. Some of them she recognized from her school, some of them were her neighbors.. She felt bad and killed some of them.. Most were now wondering towards her so she figured she'd go…. She frowned at the sight of her friends and foes in front of her and ran into the woods..
