Sophie p.o.v
oh no, she hasn't answered. maybe that was too soon her mouth is wide open, and I'm not in the way that she says she's about to talk. definitely too soon. Oh back track sophie
"Sorry, I just meant I recognised that it was you from the laugh" well done Sherlock. Why did I even say that? she obviously understood the first time. She's about to speak. Here goes. "It's fine. Ya know I did understand first time round sophie"
Damn she noticed too. "I thought that you might have" oh wow. Please can time go back and let the conversation start again?
Sally's p.o.v
I really need to get off to work. I was only on my lunch break. Oh I'm sure staying here for a bit longer won't hurt. Sophie needs me
"Mum shouldn't you get back to work? me and sian need to talk alone"
I stand corrected.
"You know where I am if you need me soph" I tell her. I anything she needs to know that.
"Bye soph... sian" I say as sian steps out of the way and I walk around her. I just smile awkwardly and walk away.
Sophie's p.o.v
"So do you want to come in?" of course she doesn't, she left me. "Ermmm well we do need to talk and you probably wanna know why I'm here so yeah please". That was a shock to my system. I move out the way so she can step into the porch.
"You're right, I really would like to know why your here". I lead her into the front room and offer her a seat. Oh no. I totally forgot maddie was in the garden. She's gonna kill me. OK so not literally but still.
"Right I'll start from the beginning, probably easier" she says whilst looking into my eyes
General p.o.v
"Would you like a brew?" sophie asks already beginning to stand up.
"No. No thank you. I'd rather get It over and done with" sian replies.
"Of course go for it" sophie says sitting back down.
"Well..." sian beings to explain herself
-10 minutes later-
"So that's why I'm here" sian finishes.
"Right so your here because you've spent the lays 2 years and 9 months debating whether to come back and regretting not letting me explain what actually happened?" sophie asks, slightly confused but also hopeful.
"Yes, basically. I want for us to have a clean slate. I could find a place to stay near here and we could take it slowly." Sian says with genuine hope obvious in her voice.
Maddie's p.o.v
So I got bored in the garden but as I get into the conservatory and go to enter the house I hear soph in deep conversation. I don't recognise the other voice. I make a move to go inside again when something catches my attention. I hear the unknown voice say something about talking it slowly. I'm not one to be nosey but surely people can understand. I'm beginning to get worried. The silence is suggesting that Sophie's considering it.
"Look, I don't know sian" I hear sophie say though she doesn't sound convinced by what she's just said. I can just about see the disappointment on this Sian's face. That's it. Sophie's mine and I'm going to make it known.
General p.o.v
"Hey soph" maddie says whilst walking through the kitchen and sitting herself on Sophie's lap.
"Hi" sophie replies bluntly pushing maddie onto the seat next to her.
"Look I should go. Sorry soph" sian states while biting her lip to stop the tears. She gets up and goes to leave.
"Yes. I think you should. Why would she wanna take it slowly with you when she's got me?" maddie says rather viciously.
"No sian. Don't go. Not yet. Listen maddie, you clearly heard our conversation and there's no pint in keeping things in. I don't know what this thing between me and you is but I do know that I think I'm still in love with sian. I do love you but not like I live sian. I'm sorry" sophie announces while looking into Sian's eyes. Sian reaches for Sophie's hand. Taking it in her ow as if to she that she is there for her.
"You know it kills me to say this soph but I think I've know from the beginning. It was too good to be true. Look thanks for all your help. I've enjoyed your company. Sian, make sure you look after her. She's a good person deep down." Maddie says with honesty and sincerity in her voice.
"Thank you" sophie and sian say in unison as they watch maddie pack her stuff and leave.
