Ronke : welcome I am beginning to worry about you why are you this late?
Patience : something came up at the stream, can you imagine what Asake told Ife and Tomi while I was away in school?

Patience : she told them that I travelled that's why Ife and Tomi didn't come to check on me
Ronke : but why did she do that?
Patience : she only said its none of her business and even called us paupers she even fought with ife at the stream
Ronke : she takes after her mother always fighting here and there she even fought with the iyalode last week, I wonder if she......
Shade : (shouting at the front of the house) come out now you this pauper RONKEEEE come out o (claps) come out now
Ronke: (she was so surprised to see shade and Asake outside her house with two guards) what is this? Why are you here?
Shade : are you really asking me that question Ehn?
Patience : just answer the question
Shade : how dare you beat my daughter
Patience : I didn't beat her she lied to you
Asake : (Sobbing) mama i didn't lie she beat me at the stream.
Ronke : my daughter is telling the truth
Shade : see I'm here to deal with your daughter guards take her and beat her up
Patience : please I didn't do anything wrong
The guards beat patience mercilessly
Shade : next time learn to stay away from my daughter this is just a warning beating nobody toys with my daughter let's go
Patience (crying)
Ronke : oh my God kabiesi(the king) must hear this shade you'll never get away with this (makes to go)
Patience : (crying) mother
Ronke : don't even try to stop me she can't get away with this, just because she is one of the chiefs wife does not mean she can do this to you and get away with it
(a black Camry car stops at the right side if the road where Ronke's house is, a man in his late fifties came out of the jeep and that man is Osi one of the chiefs
Osi : what is going on here? Why is your daughter covered with bruises
Ronke : Osi my daughter was brutally maltreated by shade Balogun's wife
Osi : what! Balogun's wife again(pause) guards let's go to the palace kabiesi must hear about this (they left)

At the palace, all the chiefs are on their seats

Kabiesi : you mean shade did that to the young lady
Osi : yes your highness
Iyalode : how can someone that heartless to the extent of beating someone up just because of your own daughter
Otun : balogun why are you silent
Balogun : Ehn Ehn Ehn (scratching his head)
Osi : so you cant talk again right
Iyalode : who gave your wife the audacity to maltreat anybody in this village, you know she fought with me the last time but I didn't say anything, your wife is such a pest in this village, always causing trouble here and there is she the only one in this village Ahah
Iyaloja : she should be taught a lesson, she has gone beyond her boundaries
Kabiesi : Balogun I've told you countless times to warn your wife to stop causing trouble in this village but you didnt listen(shouts) guards go and bring shade axnd lock her up
Balogun : ah kabiesi please I promise she won't do it again
Otun : Balogun kabiesi has spoken no going back

Kabiesi : now you are begging it's too late your wife must pay for what she did my chiefs you can go

(they all left)

At Ronke's house
Ife : patience I'm really sorry for what happened it's not really my fault I shouldn't have fought with Asake
Patience : it's not your fault she's just a fighter
Tomi : I can't believe her mother could go to that extent
Ronke enters
Ife/tomi/patience : welcome ma
Ronke : my daughters thank you I told you shade won't go Scot free I saw the guards dragging her to the palace
Ife : yes she deserves more than that, causing trouble all around
Ronke : she has now become the talk of the town
Tomi : please patience take care of yourself
Ife : mama we'll come over next time (they left)
