Life Experiences (Poetry Version)

"No Retreat, No Surrender"

The day of examination test was near,
But all I did was playing through out whole the year,
Going to school with a mobile phone on my hand and an earphone in my ear,
My attendance was excellent but in academic I was a loser,
I don't even think hard in answering my test paper,
Games was all i want because I'm a player,
Listening music on weekend with a speaker,
I don't want to study because I'm not a learner.

One day, I saw my mother crying,
It was the day after my daddy was leaving,
The day he was died in an accident while mining,
They were working just to keep me smiling,
Today was my plan of returning,
To perfect the examination test coming,
I will not retreat and surrender while studying,
I will read all the books and start learning,
All of the pain and struggle will be nothing.

I want to see my mother smile,
I want to give her the happiness of a thousand mile,
I will become the top student in the school file,
I will make her say "I'm very proud of you" with a smile like a river Nile.
