14. Tired.

As i walked into my house, I didn't care to yell "i'm home." I took my coat and shoes of, and threw them somewhere. I made my way to the stairs, ignoring my cousins sitting in the living room.

As I open the door, I see Yeori sitting on her bed, reading a book. "What are you reading about?" I ask, as I go towards her, and sit down on the bed.

"A mermaid who fell in love with a human," she answered not looking up. "Why are you already home?" She asks, still not looking up. It's like she's ignoring me. It doesn't look like she is reading. She isn't turning the pages, and is staring blankly at the book.

"Something happened in school, and I just wanted to be with you," I answered, gently touching her feet.

"Mmmm," she answered.

"Why are you ignoring me? What did I do?" I ask, as I got worried again. Was it my fault that she got beated? I hope not. Does she hate me?

"Look, I'm not ignoring you," she said, and placed her book down and finally looking at me. "I'm just ti-." She suddenly stopped when she saw my face. I was confused, but then I remembered my lip. I get my touched the little wound. It's still bleeding a little. "What happened?" She asked, and crawls towards me. "Who did this?"

I looked down on the blood stain on my shirt. She blood had dripped down my chin while I ran. I didn't know it would bleed this much. "Nothing happened. I'm fine," I say as a lie, and hope she believes it.

"Yah! That isn't nothing! Who did this?" She asked, gently touching my chin.

"How can you worry about me, when your state is a lot worse!" I say, and gently pushing her hand away. "Nothing happened. I got a ball in my face in P. E," I then say, as a new lie.

"I don't believe it. That can't happen because of a ball in P. E," Yeori says with a straight face.

"Technically it can. It was a tennis ball, and the person who threw it has a good throwing arm," I say, trying to make my lie believable.

"Stop lying! I can see that you are lying! I'll just tell mom," she say, before running out of the room. My eyes shoot open, and I immediately ran after her.

"Mom! Mom! Come here! Y/N is hurt!" Yeori yell, as she run down the stairs. I quickly follow her behind trying to stop her, but she is to fast.

"What is happening?" My mom asks, coming out from the kitchen. I quickly turn my back towards her, and curse under my breath.

"Nothing, mom," I say, still not facing towards her.

"Y/N. Turn around," she said sternly. I don't have a choice. I slowly turned around, and looked down. My mom gasps loudly.

"What happened?!" She said, getting my cousins, Mark's and my grandparents attention. They soon came into the room like a river. They look at my mom confused, then they see me. I could hear their loud gasps, but I couldn't see their reaction.

"What happened, Y/N?" Renjun asked, coming closer.

"Nothing. I got hit by a ball in P. E," I say, praying for them to believe me.

"Don't lie, Y/N. Tell us. We will understand," Dahyun said, coming closer to. No... They wouldn't understand. I look down, and run upstairs. My mind didn't work right, right now. I just needed to be alone.

I didn't go to school in the last two days. I just couldn't get up from my bed. I don't know what happened to Baekhyun. He has been so... weird. He has been acting strange too. I thought about him the last two days, and decided that it would be best if we got some space. I just need to keep my distance from him on the trip, and then we can maybe apologize to each other after. I hope he won't break up. But why would he do that?
