Skye's POV

Do you ever feel like you're not worth something? That you aren't good enough? That no matter what you do, or what you try to do do, people will look down on you and see you as something below them? Do you ever feel judged by just being you?

I do. All the fucking time. People think they're better than you, when they're worse. So much worse. They'll act like someone different then who they really are. They'll believe someone else over you, just because that other person has them hooked around their finger.

That's my dad for you, and almost every other fucking person I know.

People say, 'those who give shall receive.' But I've given my whole life, only to receive countless beatings, teasings, people who want to know what you're doing every second of every day, and countless other shit.

You just want to give up on life and think, 'maybe they'll be better of without you.' When really, the person you hate most, is the person holding you down and keeping you from losing your mind.

And after one conversation, that's what I feel Tyler is to me.

The second he argued with me about my business, I already knew I needed him. There's just something about him that drags you in. Something that just make you wan to spill all your secrets and lay them at his feet. Something I can't let happen.

I feel like it's the whole world against me. And now Tyler. I don't know why, but I feel as long as I have him by my side.... I can get through anything.

Tyler's POV

"Tyler man! How are you? I haven't seen you in, what? A few days!" Dan laughs as if it's the funniest thing in the world, and I can't help but laugh with him. His laugh is contagious. But at the same time, I'm distracted.

Skye.

Her name has been in my thoughts for hours, Well, from the time it took me to drive to my apartment, take a shower, and drive to this club. So maybe an hour and a half.

"I'm fine. And it feels like years!" I exclaim, throwing my arms up in the air dramatically.

Everyone laughs around me, and I grin. This is the life. Parties. Drinks. Girls.

There's just one thing missing.

Skye.

I don't know what it is about her. I'm extremely intrigued by her though. I'm drawn to her. Like a moth to a flame.

I want to know everything about her. Everything from her favorite color, to those dark secrets she keeps hidden. I have no explanation as to why. She's the kind of girl I usually avoid. She just has this aura of innocence that makes a person want to wonder how she keeps it.

"Wanna drink, Tyler?" Dan calls over to me.

"Why not? What you got this time?" I call back, momentarily distracted,

"Well, we have some budlight, and a few bottles of whiskey! Which one do you want?" He asks me, going over to the kitchen.

"Both! Mix them!" Never tried it before, but why not?

Because you'll get drunk and do something stupid. The smart side of me tells me. But I choose to ignore it.

"Here you go! Try not to get too drunk. We don't want a repeat of last time." He warns, though I know he is only joking.

"Of course not buddy! I'll just get to where I won't remember what happens tonight!" I laugh, though I'm being serious.
