"I'm really sorry sir, I thought that you was the one who caused the accident and slapped you," she said to him with a nervous tingling voice. But he was casually sipping his coffee enjoying her expressions. "That's okay Miss..?" He asked. She pulled up her face and smiled at him. "Ayushi, I'm Ayushi Chowdary," she said. He smiled and forwarded his hands , "I'm Ashwin Reddy," he said. She shook hands with him.

She was about to sip her coffee when a man approached them and gave the mobile to Ashwin. "Sir, call from the commissioner," he said and left. Ashwin talked over the phone and found her looking at him seriously with a gulf of fear. She wasn't having her coffee. Finally he ended his call after few minutes. She stammered to ask, "Sir are you..?" He understood that what she wants to ask to him and said, "I'm a police officer," she coughed hard after hearing that. She shivered because she has slapped a police officer. She cursed herself.

He chuckled and said, "It's okay don't think much," she was gazing at the floor continuously. He knew that she was worrying a lot. "Shall we move ?" He asked and she nodded. Both came out from the cafeteria and began to walk slowly on the grass. She was maintaining an utter silence while meddling her shawl with her hands. He thought to initiate the talk first. "So Ayushi how many years you have been working as a doctor?" She again stammered, " Yeah! .. it's.. it's... My 8th month by tomorrow," he chuckled. "That's great, a very young doctor by the means," he said she smiled.
She continued to be silent while he was being restless to hear her voice again. She suddenly asked him, "How many years you have been working as police sir?" He finally heard for what he was carving for and said, "Myself it's been 3 years by now. I don't remember the date when I joined my work actually," his words shocked her.
"What! You couldn't remember when you joined for work? Are you serious sir?" She asked with open mouth. He raised his brows and asked, "Why?" She replied him saying, "Certain dates in our life must be noted as they may be the life changing dates in our life. For example , you must know the birthday dates of your kith and kin. Then your first day at school and college then your proposal and marriage dates etc..,"
' Then definitely this day is an important date for me,' he thought in his mind. "That's okay Ayushi. I'll try to catch up with that soon," he said. She smiled at him. He knew that she was becoming comfortable with him. "So.. Do you have any siblings?" He asked her. "Yeah one mischievous brother, my world," she said with golden spangles glittering in her eyes.
