There was only a single rule while spending time with Yoongi in his studio.

Do not tempt him...

It was often that the two of you would share the space to work so that you could spend time together even when you were both busy. While your life as a full-time university student was not nearly as busy as his life as an idol, you definitely had your days where all you wanted to do was stay in bed. And so did he. The constant schedule on both of your sides had begun to take its toll. You didn't see him as often as you wanted and it had begun to strain your relationship.

A part of you wondered if this relationship was really even right for either of you anymore. There was no question of love. You both had an indefinite amount for each other. But the guilt that he felt about how little time he could afford to spend with you was palpable and that was what made you feel so unsure. Some days, all he did was hold you and apologise quietly. You had to wonder if that was truly any way to spend your limited time, but he couldn't seem to stop.

On some level, neither of you had imagined his group would skyrocket like this, but you were so proud of him. You just didn't want to hold him back. You wanted him to run at his goals, full speed, without the urge of looking over his shoulder to see how far behind he had left you. You definitely never wanted him to stop and wait for you to catch up. You wanted Yoongi to move forwards, with or without you. You just didn't know how to get him to abandon this sense of guilt so that you could move forward together.

You had long ago accepted that he was busy, but you supported him and his dreams. You were content to wait your turn until you got to spend a day with him. You loved him so much that you didn't care if your primary communication was through text or kakao calls. You took comfort in knowing that one day, it would get better.

However, it wasn't that day yet and he needed to stop doubting himself when it came to your relationship. If he didn't let this guilt subside, it was going to eat you alive too. When he was like this, there was no way you could keep chanting "one day" to yourself like it was a personal motto.

How could you convey that you wanted to spend the little time you did have with him happy? You wanted to laugh, smile, kiss, and fuck him without him pausing to check if he deserved to have you. You knew his ability to accept that this was the reality of your relationship would make or break it.

So you were going to help him by breaking one of his most sacred rules.

While the studio deserved to be a place of work, breaking the temptation rule seemed to be the most logical solution. If he could just say "fuck it" when he wanted you and then pull you onto his lap, you felt like he could let go of everything else holding him back from you as well. It had to work.

Despite the fact that your plan was a little devious in nature, you were not heartless. You waited until you were sure that he was stumped before you even thought of bothering him. Interrupting him while he was clearly on a roll would be cruel and completely untempting.

Because you had known him for years, far before he had come to Seoul to make music, you could always tell when Yoongi was stuck on a composition. When it happened while he was in the studio, he would begin to tap the desk with the pen he kept there for jotting down notes. It was a physical sign that his mind was working through the issue, like he was trying to solve a puzzle. Which meant it was the perfect time to give him a little break. Relax him. Clear his mind.
