Arbiter paced the forest he got lost in.
"I'll never find them..." he thought aloud. He was scratched up from defending himself against monsters, his legs ached from hours of endless walking, his throat parched from the lack of water. He wouldn't last much longer. Suddenly, he stopped. He fell to the ground. Slowly, the world around him faded.
Arbiter awoke hours later. Or was it days? The sunlight blinding him so he had to squint his eyes. He sat up straight. He was still outside, but there was no forest. He was laying on a bed, possibly on a mountain. His dog instincts kicked in and he howled loud. About five seconds later, he heard footsteps, lots of them. A group of people surrounded him. A man with bluish gray hair under a red-striped fedora and a dolphin tail, a similar looking man with sharp teeth and a shark tail, a penguin with a red hat, a cow with a white hoodie and headphones, and a dog with a blue and green scarf. The first thing Arbiter noticed was that they all had magnificent mustaches.
"Yo fam, are you ok?" the fedora man asked. Arbiter couldn't speak. He nodded slightly. The man had a sort of British voice.
"Dudes, let's give him room." the dog commanded. "What's your name?" he asked. Arbiter blushed. He didn't know why, he just did.
"A-Arbiter..." Arbiter managed. The other dog smiled at him. The fedora man spoke again.
"I'm Homie Dolphin," he introduced. "that's Homie Shark, Homie Penguin, Homie Cow and Homie Doge. We're the Homie Nation." Arbiter nodded. Homie Doge helped up Arbiter. Arbiter stumbled and fell onto Homie Doge, who luckily caught him. Arbiter didn't fall because he was tired or hurt, he for some reason, couldn't keep his balance around Homie Doge.
"Yo, yo, fam, I gotta go." said Homie Cow.
"Yeah, me too. Gotta swim." said Homie Shark, with Homie Penguin and Dolphin following.
"Yo, see you fam!" Homie Doge called, waving.
"Don't you have anywhere to be?" Arbiter asked.
"Nah. Besides, someone's gotta make sure you're ok," Homie Doge said with a wink. Arbiter blushed again. He somehow felt... safer with Homie Doge. He let his head rest against Homie Doge's shoulder. Homie Doge put his arm around him.
"Us dogs have to stick together."
