Emma grabs her bag, before trying to round up 3 of her 4 younger brothers, all the while with a giggly one-year-old rested on her hip."Louis! Get down here young man!" She bellows up the stairs, and the thirteen year old's head pops around from his bedroom door.
He gives a cheeky grin and slowly saunters out of the room.
"Come on Louis, we have so much to do this morning! We're running late and you need to get ready for school." Emma reprimands, making Louis put his arms up in mock surrender.
"Jeez, jeez, calm down sis, I'm nearly ready." He sasses his older sister, trudging down the stairs still quite slowly, running a hand through his light brown hair.
"Right then, you finish getting ready then and quit the lip." Emma scolds, patting him on the back and going upstairs to get her other two brothers up.
"Right, come on Levi." The nineteen-year-old soothes, gently shaking her 4-year-old brother, all the while trying not to agitate baby Thomas, who's rested on her hip and almost asleep yet again.
Levi rolls over and grunts, whining loudly.
"Come on, I've got so much to do today." She practically begs, picking the boy up from under his arms.
In response, the 4-year-old just simply whinges and shoves his blonde head into his sister's shoulder.
"Ugh, hang on Li, you need to get dressed first, then I'll carry you." Emma says stubbornly, putting the boy onto the floor and leaving the bedroom to get Ryan up.
Before she goes into Ryan's bedroom, she puts Thomas into a playpen that's set up on the landing, just to make everything easier.
"Come on Ry, it's time to wake up." Emma whispers, rubbing the boy's head gently.
Ryan just whines in response and pulls himself out of bed.
"Get ready for school and come downstairs for some breakfast." She says a little sternly, before leaving the room and picking Thomas back up.
She'll never admit it, but Emma's always had a soft spot for Ryan. He's always been more chill and laid back than his other brothers. It's a nice break.
Emma reaches the bottom of the stairs, to see Louis sitting on the kitchen counter, humming some random tune to himself while eating a slice of toast.
"Lou, buddy, how many times do I have to tell you to stop sitting on the counter? I don't want you to get hurt." She raises an eyebrow at her younger brother, who giggles.
"Well, sorry it's the most comfortable place in the kitchen." He smiles cheekily and jumps off the counter.
"Whatever Lou. You still need to get your shoes, tie and blazer on." Emma emphasises everything he hasn't yet done.
The boy just smirks and shakes his head slightly, looking down at the floor.
"Alright, alright, I'll get 'em on." He surrenders, leaving the kitchen without taking the smirk off of his face.
Levi stands at the bottom of the stairs, fully dressed for school and looks at his big sister with a smile on his face.
"Hey bud, you want some breakfast?" Emma asks her second to youngest brother, who nods and grins, taking her by the hand.
It may be difficult, but Emma manages to get herself and all 4 of her brothers out of the door on time.
