Baby if only I could just see you one last time...

It had been four years and still, no emotions could show on Hailey's face. She had been hurt time and time again. For one moment she had almost caught herself cracking a little piece of a smile but instantly stopped. She had gone four years without the love of her life by her side. He had left her and broke her more than words could ever describe.

You see for Hailey, he was everything. He made the moon move and the stars shine. Every little thing he did just brightened her world. Until the day he had been looking at her with the utmost attention and grief-stricken look. She knew something was wrong but she never pictured that the thing that had been wrong for him was her. To her, he was everything she ever wanted in life. But unfortunately, that wasn't the case for him. He had found a new love. He had been seeing her for a couple of weeks behind Hailey's back, and at that moment.. she knew she would never be the same again.

Hailey walked around the city not knowing where to go or what to do. She would occasionally find a little café or a bookstore to wander into but she still remained entirely numb. Her eyes, swollen from the number of tears she had poured out an hour beforehand. Her voice cracking with every half-hearted "Good morning" or "Hello" she would say back to people crossing her path on her journey of finding a way to feel again.

Hailey was walking down the street when a shops display window caught her eye. She had noticed an array of beautiful flowers again some beautiful acoustic guitars. She instantly strolled into the shop and began to look around. An older man heard her enter and he smiled and nodded at her. As Hailey walked around the store browsing around all the different instruments she noticed a very interesting looking guitar. It was a beautiful mahogany hollow body acoustic. For the life of her, she just couldn't stop looking at it. The man noticed her reaction and smiled, "you can play it if you'd like" she smiled ever so slightly as she picked it up and began to strum an eerily sweet melody. She began to hum under her breath with it. The man looked shocked. She stopped playing and he applauded her, "you should be on a stage dear" her cheeks started to tint a shade of pink. "H..how much?" She asked quietly. He smiled and pointed at the price tag on the neck. She paid for it and on her way she went.
