Sorting Hat

Author's Note: Sorry if Vanessa seems too much like a Mary-Sue, but I don't have an idea what else to do. I like thinking up perfect characters in my head, so most of the time they are super pretty and good at a lot of things. I'm so sorry in advance if you don't like mary-sues. But I will try to make it as bearable as possible. Also ^ that's supposed to be Vanessa. Now you know what I mean by her being a Mary-Sue, cause Adriana Lima is SOO pretty. So again, I'm sorry!

*The day Vanessa is supposed to arrive at Hogwarts*

Harry Potters' POV

Today is the day my sister is finally arriving at Hogwarts! I am actually so excited. The downside is though, Malfoy has been trying to figure out what I meant when I said he will find out what will happen in a few weeks. I was talking about Vanessa arriving. I can't wait to see what she is like and looks like. Also, what everybody thinks of her too. Later at dinner in the great hall Dumbledore has a very important announcement to make.

"Students! May I please have your attention! I have an announcement to make!" He announces, waiting for all the Hogwarts students to calm down and pay attention.

"Today, a transfer student from Paris, France has arrived to study at our school. I would like you all to be warm and welcoming to the new student since she does not know anyone here and I would very much like her to stay. Now, I present to you Vanessa VanGough, who will now be sorted into her Hogwarts House." Dumlbedore finishes, as the great hall doors open, revealing a beautiful 16 year old girl with long brown hair and gorgeous eyes. Everyone in the hall gasps once they see her.

Vanessas' POV

I am standing outside two great doors as I hear Headmaster Dumbledore finish his speech. The big doors open and I start walking up to a worn out hat sitting on a stool. I feel every eye on me when I enter and feel kind of awkward being the center of attention. My eyes scan over some people who catch my eye, a girl with bushy brown hair and big front teeth who is sitting by a boy with red hair and freckles, and then another boy with dark hair, a lightning scar, and glasses. THAT MUST BE MY BROTHER!

I also notice another girl across the hall with long pale, blonde hair and big eyes, sitting at the Ravenclaw table. Another boy catches my eye also. A boy with platinum blond hair and grey eyes that could pierce through anything. As I reach the hat I sit down while the Headmaster put the hat on my head. "Oh? A potter? This is surprising. Very surprising indeed." It says to me. "How do you know I'm a Potter?!" I reply in shock, worried that people could hear, but they couldn't. "I can look inside your head. And don't worry, no one can hear us, we are talking inside your head. But let's see, where to put you, where to put you?"

"Hmm... Yes, I think I've got it. The perfect house for you. Well, possibly." The hat says, and before I can ask what it means, it yells, "SLYTHERIN!"

I was so shocked to hear that I froze. The whole Slytherin table started clapping, cheering, and going wild. I slowly walked over to their table and sat down in the first empty seat I could find. I felt the stare of grey eyes on me the rest of the feast, curious to know more about me.

Chapters will usually be longer, but I am so tired that I can barely write sentences right now. Anyways, I hope you like the story so far, and yes, I know I MAY have complimented Vanessa's beauty too much, so I'm sorry, I won't do it often unless a character is saying it to her. (Which characters will almost never say that, cause that'd be weird.) Anyways, thanks!
