Chapter 4

I open my eyes once I feel the sunshine was coming through our  room.

It was a fine morning.

I sit on my bed and look at my roommate.

All of them were still sleeping.

When I were scanning the room, I found out that HyoJoon was not in the room.

Where is she??

I went out and welcome by a cold breeze.

I went out from that old house and saw HyoJoon sitting on the stairs.

"Hyojoon-ah.." I said while approaching her.

She look up at me.

I was so shocked.she's crying.

She wipe her tears away and look at other things.

"Are you waiting for your parents?" I said and sit beside her.

"Why?They told you that your parents will take you from this 'orphan' house?" she said.

"What do you mean?what is orphan house?" I said curiously.

"Orphan house is where kids under age 18 were being throw by their family." she said.

I can't believe this.

"All of us,I've been in this orphan house since I was three years old.So that mean it have been 3 years since I've been thrown in this orphan house." she said and start to cry again.

"n-no.The police ahjussi (uncle) said that my parents will pick me up today!" I said while raising my voice to her.

"NO!THEY LIED TO YOU KIM WOOJIN!THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THINGS SO THAT I WILL STAY IN THIS HOUSE!" She said crying and sobbing.

"Woojin.We will get out from this house once there were a kind partner that want to take us as their kids" she said and look down.

I can't help myself but cry.

I can't believe this so I run entering the house.

I run to the lady.She just went out from our room.

"oh!There you are,where have you been?Where's Hyojoon?" she said while kneeling in front of me since I was short.

"YOU'RE LYING TO US!YOU'RE A LIAR!YOU SAID THAT MY PARENTS WILL PICK ME TODAY!" I said yelling and crying.

"They will pick you up today woojin. So you have to wait" she said and hug me.

I don't speak anything but cry.

*5 month later*

"Happy birthday to you!Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to our woojin! Happy birthday to you!!"

They clap their hand as they finished singing my birthday song.

"Blow the candles dear" The lady said.

I blow the candles and hug the lady.

"Thanks for being the best mother!" I said.

"It's nothing! Everything for you darling" she said and kiss my forehead.

I went to my friends and play together.

We eat the cake and the other foods happily.

It was late at night.It was time for us to sleep.

"Eonni (big sister) Happy 6th birthday!" Jira said and hug me tightly.
