We thought we were falling in love? What cruel joke were stupid teenage hormones trying to play on me to admit something childish and foolish? So much for marriage. I'd rather marry Rae, bros before hoes, right?
Jason lives in the house on the guest floor, and Rick stays over most nights to my annoyance. Who doesn't stay is mom and dad... losing their best friends was a little too much for them to handle, and I don't blame them a bit.
Starting college was difficult and time-consuming, but I'll get through it and start learning to take over the family business. Admitting they want me to take over so they can retire early was a significant indicator of how disturbed my parents are right now. I need to make peace with my demons to prepare for that.
I thought I'd have a little time to adjust into this role, but my parents have another idea. I guess they didn't learn anything from the last time they left me a life-altering note

We're going to Jamaica for a month to wind down from the stress of the recent merger and everything else. Please try and spend some time with Jason while we're away, alright? You two need to work out your differences. We'll be back for your coming-out party.......whoops, well I guess now is good as any a time to tell you that we're going to have a party revealing to the world that we have a daughter.
