Melissa POV

We arrive back at Chris's apartment after a pretty quiet car ride as I was still shaken up from Blake.

"Chris...I'm so sorry that I've put you in this position, now you're on Blake's target list"

"Mel I told you it is not your fault, I'd fight for you any day. You deserve better than that asshole" he says

Chris comes and hugs me, his warmth and grace was so amazing. Blake in a million years would never be able to live up to that.

"Hey I'm going to put your stuff in the guest room and then why don't we order some food for dinner?" Chris asks

"I'd like that" I smile, how does Chris even on my worst days be able to make me smile?

"So what do you feel like? Japanese? Thai? Italian?" Chris asks

"Pizza?" I ask

"Pizza it is...thank god I've been craving that all week!" We both laugh

Chris calls up and orders the pizza and then we sit on the couch waiting...awkwardly
I look away and I can see Chris is staring at me

"What is it?" I ask

"Mel, you're so beautiful. You're the most amazing person I've ever met" He says

"Chris.." I began blushing

He begins to lean in and so do I, we were about to kiss

*doorbell rings*

We both pull away

"I'll get it" Chris says

"Okay" OMG we were just about to kiss what do I do now?

Chris POV

I finally got the courage to lean in and kiss Mel, but of course the doorbell rings

I grab the pizza and take it back to the couch where she's waiting.

"Smells good" I say breaking an awkward silence

We begin eating

I'm so nervous now that after my second slice I couldn't eat anymore, I finally have the courage to bring up our almost first kiss. Im Still worried as to whether she will even want to stay with me anymore, here goes nothing

"So umm..about before" I scratch my neck, I can see her scratching her palms she is just as nervous as me

"Before the pizza came, I think we were about to kiss and I just need you to know I want this I want us together" I can feel myself sweating

Then all of a sudden she kisses me, so passionately it was amazing

"I want this too" she says smiling

We move to the bedroom kissing and we both stop

"I want us, but I don't want to rush this" she says

"Yeah me too" I say and begin to take a step back

"But will you hold me?" She asks

I smile "of course Mel"

We were lying together on the bed and she began to fall asleep in my arms looking so peaceful. Now she was fully asleep and as I close my eyes I basically go to sleep in an instant

Melissa POV

He was so warm that when he started holding me I fell asleep straight away
But I began having nightmares of Blake coming to get me and hurt me and Chris

I starting screaming in my sleep "HELP, NO STOP BLAKE!!"

"Mel! Mel!" Chris starts shaking me awake

I wake crying

"Chris...he..he was hurting me and then you" I start crying

"Hey I'm never going to let him lay a finger on you again, okay?" Chris says

"Chris..." I cry into his chest

He holds me tight

"I've got you Mel, always" he says
