ADLEY WENT HOME AFTER school everyday, exhausted from the work she did and will do once she entered her small apartment. The apartment filled with cat hair and junk that they will never use. Adley suffered a tragic loss when her father died. It flipped life around for her mother and Adley. Her mother decided that keeping everything they owned and taking her pain meds from the cabinet would be best for her family.

Adley witnesses her mother's slow decent into insanity and her own decent into the void of loneliness. She protected her little brother, Evan, with her life. Adley stress grows and leads to build up. She begins to never let anyone in.
