1 - Strictly Phone Call

- Mollie's POV

Here I am again. Each day, going to work seems even more boring then the last, and I would do anything to have a change. I'm supposed to love what I do. But perhaps I'm tired of it now. After all, you can't fake passion.

My thoughts are interrupted by a rude colleague. The office phone begins to ring.
"Mollie. Get that please."
"On it." I respond with a deep sigh.

There is an excited voice at the other end of the phone.

"Hi!"
"Listen, if this is some advertising call I don't want to hear none of i-"
I am interrupted.
"Is this Mollie King?"
"Ummm....Yes?"
"It's Claudia Winkleman. We would kindly like to ask if you would be a part of Strictly Come Dancing this year."
My heart stops for a second. Me? Mollie? Enter strictly! AN ABSOLUTE DREAM. I needed this phone call. I DESERVE this phone call.
"YES YES YES. I WOULD LOVE TO!!" I excitedly reply.
"Perfect! We will email you all the details shortly. Bye for now, but not for long Mollie!"

I am in shock. I scream so loud with joy I break the silence of the whole office.

"MOLLIE KING."
My boss is red with anger. People are trying to work."
"Well guess what Sophie. You won't be seeing much more of me for a very long time as I am quitting to join Strictly! I just got call inviting me to go!"

Without thinking I grab my bags and sprint out the office, pleased to enter a new amazing chapter of my life, leaving my fellow workers in shock.

*Ping*
My phone screen lights up. Mollie King is the 9th Celebrity confirmed for Strictly 2017 - BBC News.

Am I in a dream?

My phone pings again. I got an email.

It is my deepest pleasure to invite you this weekend to meet your other fellow celebrities and pro dancers you will be in the competition with.

The following weekend will be the filming for the opening episode where you pair off with your dancing pro which will be airing next day.

The week after that is when all the fun will start with the Live shows.
