There are a few things I want to clarify before I want anyone reading, and thanks for everyone who's checking this out!
This story is obviously inspired by Catherine the Great, in which to me is such an inspiration. She's one of the most influential leaders who took Russia in as her own, despite not being Russian herself. In this story, the characters and setting is not in a specific country. I thought about setting this story in a European country, but I don't want to offend anyone so I'm just sticking this out there just incase someone was about to say something.
In this universe, the role of a king and queen are separated. A female and being a 'king', or being a male while being called 'queen' is referred to their status in the character's own government system.
The characters and world itself will start to unravel as you progress, so I hope you guys enjoy this even though I can't guarantee posting frequently. That's all the tea I've got, so yeah! Have fun!
