Daddy's girl

Chapter 1

Glacey's pov.

I walked into the Everett County Sheriffs office and I spotted the team, who was like family might I add. "Hey there pretty thing.", Radner grinned. "Hey Bubba.", I said using my nick name for him. He usually calls me doll face in return. Then Juliet popped up beside me. "Hey there.", she smiled. "Hey hey. Who's the new chick?", I asked spotting the blonde girl walking over with Mason. "That's Sarah. Don't worry she's good.", Juliet said. I nodded and then gave the girl a smile. "Officer Kane, pleasure.", I smiled shaking her hand. "Hello. Im Sarah.". She smiled. "Just call me Glacey.", I said. She nodded then her eyes widened. "Did you say your last name was Kane?", she said surprised. I chuckled and nodded. "Your related to Kane!", she said. We all chuckled at her reaction. "Yeah I'm his daughter.", I laughed. "Wow!", she smiled. "Stop teasing her now babydoll.", Dad said walking to the room. "Hey boss man.", I grinned playfully. "Come on we got some things to discuss.", he said motioning me over. I nodded and followed.

Radners pov.

I watched as she walked away with Kane. "She seems nice.", Sarah noted. "Yeah well you haven't seen her pissed off. She's not quiet like Kane. She's a loaded pistol.", Mason said. "Really?", she said with surprise. I nodded. "Yup and if you ever want to get on Kane's bad side, just touch his daughter. And it's over.", Juliet said. "Yup. She's almost all he has.", I added. "Wow...",Sarah sighed.

Glaceys pov.

I sat opposite of my dad. Both of us silent wandering who would speak first. "Alright I'll bite. What happened?", I sighed tired of the silence. "You already know.", he said. "No! Why would some one threaten you!", I snapped. "Baby a lot of things happened over seas way before you were born.", he said. "Then why is it being brought up now?", I said. "I wish I knew.", he said softly. "Daddy I'm sorry but this job is our best bet of cutting this thing off. And I'm going.", I stayed firmly. He sighed. "Very well. Since I know arguing with you is pointless. Brief the team and be ready in 30.", he said and dismissed me.

We stood ready to go in. Radner and I stood side by side. He looked at me and gave me a fist bump. "You buying drinks tonight right?", I teased. "You bet doll face.", he smirked. With that we stormed in!

Well to say the plan fell apart was an under statement. This bastard was good, and loved booby traps. Now we were taking fire, Juliet and Radner were both shot, Dad tended to her, as my hand was pressed against Radners stomach holding his guts in. Shrapnel stuck out of his body from the bomb he took. "We gotta get these guys to a doctor!!", Dad yelled. Sarah and Mason has reinforcements in route. But we all knew... they were going to be to lat for Juliet and Radner. "Looks... like... your... buying... argh... tonight.", Radner mumbled out in clear pain. "Shhhhh bubba... don't talk like that.", I said putting more pressure on the cloth.  "Your or going anywhere. Your gonna be fine!", I promised. His blue eyes met my green ones. "You know I have never been one to believe in fairy tales doll face.", he said with a soft smile on his lips. "Radner... don't. You keep your eyes on me! Don't you dare shut them!!", I yelled shaking him as his eyes shut! "Bubba... Bubba! BUBBA!!!", I yelled shaking him! He was gone... " He's dead...", I said. "Juliet's fading fast!", dad yelled. "Glacey your going to have to punch a whole straight through toe get the others!", he said referring to the wall of gun fire we were taking. I nodded . I grabbed Radners gun, walked over to Juliet. "Hang in there.", I whispered then grabbed hers. I reloaded both of them and then aimed both guns! Taking out the heavier guns almost immediately! I flipped a table and shot over the lip! I could hear by the screams and reduced gun fire I was making progress! I finally jumped over the table and emptied the clips! They all dropped! There was silence. Then the sirens came in to ear shot. I opened the door and police flooded the scene. I walked back down to Dad and Juliet. He was pulling her eyelids down. "She's gone.", he said softly. I ducked my head down. I spun and punched the old wall behind me! Sarah and Mason came running down. "They aren't...", Sarah started. Dad and I both nodded. Tears came to her eyes and Mason stormed out.
