the first hour bell finally rings. jungkook immediately stands up from his desk. yoongi is shaken awake from his half asleep phase by the noise, and slowly walks out of the classroom. jimin hurriedly gathers his things and dashes out to catch up with jungkook."hey!! wait for me!" jimin shouts as he races towards the tall junior. jungkook frowns, but slows his pace so that the shorter boy can catch up.
once the blond haired boy finally reached him, jungkook asked "did you just say 'hey' to me?"
jimin shivers. jungkook's voice had deepened and his stare went cold. the taller boy stared at him for a while.
"how old are you?" he asked.
"sixteen. seventeen in october."
"that means i'm older than you. so, don't disrespect me, kid." the raven haired boy looks down onto jimin.
"a-alright." jimin squeaked.
the boys walked together in silence, passing by locker by locker and classroom door by classroom door.
"i have swim class next." the strawberry scented junior blurted out.
"follow me." jungkook walks in the direction of the indoor pool and asks, "do you know how to swim?"
jimin hesitates to answer, "i know freestyle. how about you?"
jungkook smirks. "my main used to be butterfly stroke. i stopped swimming midway through ninth grade, though."
"butterfly? isn't that the hardest stroke?" jimin's eyes light up as he looks at jungkook.
"i guess." the taller boy replied and quickened his pace. jimin tried to catch up, steps falling out of grace as he had almost tripped three times.
"alright, here we are. goodluck." jungkook patted jimin on the head and then said, "don't drown, kid."
jimin pouted and then turned around to say something. but the older boy was already out of sight. he sighed.

jungkook reached the chemistry classroom in time to greet seokjin, who had science just before him, with a hug. but, of course, the senior who acted as if he was everyone's mother, wanted much more than just a hug from his precious bunny.
"jungkookie! baby, i've missed you so much!" seokjin, who was dressed in all pink, said as he raced towards the younger boy. he pulled jungkook in for a tight embrace and then planted numerous kisses onto the boy's forehead and cheeks.
jungkook was losing his breath. "mom, not in public! you're so embarrassing!" he whined.
seokjin huffed, "i'm not your mom!"
jungkook rolled his eyes. he then pushed away from the older boy. "jin," he said, "hurry to class or you'll be late. i'll see you later."
the pink haired boy nodded and rushed out of the classroom immediately afterwards.

jungkook impatiently sits at his desk a couple minutes before the bell rings, tapping at the fake wood repeatedly with the tips of his fingernails, making harsh "tack, tack" noises.
he feels several taps on his shoulder, and goes frozen.
what if it's taehyung?
he feels two more light taps on his shoulder.
"kook." he hears.
he exhales in relief. it's just namjoon. "yeah?" he turns around.
the junior (namjoon) sports his signature messy silver hair, a plain white button up shirt, and a shocked expression on his face.
"holy shit," he gasps, "how did you get so much cuter over the summer? walking around looking like a full on damn snack..."
he's clearly struggling.
"oh my god," he stammered as his eyes ran all over jungkook.
huh. that was... unnecessarily bold.
"is that a good thing?" jungkook asked with a mischievous wink.
"of course it is, koo. you're so adorable and pretty." the older boy spoke softly.
"shut it. i'm not pretty." jungkook frowned, "and i'm only "cute" around you, okay? seriously, that's gross. and i'm not gay, or anything like that."
the bell rung and the teacher walked in.
namjoon smiled and then whispered. "okay. whatever you say, kook."
the class period felt like a trip to the moon. long, isolating and quiet. and boring. jungkook groaned.
his mind was racing against the speed of light. please get me out of here, i really can't take this torture anymore! it shouted. he sighed.
eventually his mind got tired and went blank. soon jungkook's eyes were struggling to keep themselves open.
just then, the bell rung. it startled jungkook, so he jumped in his seat and gained a couple of giggles from a group of short girls.
"shut up," he muttered.
"who you talking to, jeon?" asked a deep voice. jungkook looks up.
it's taehyung.
he had grown his hair out into a mullet over the summer. he had gotten a tattoo of a rose that lay on his neck, too. he had even gotten a lip piercing. jungkook hated to admit it, but taehyung looked hot.
"nobody. what do you want?" jungkook tried his best to keep his cool.
"nothing. i just wanted to ask how your summer was, jeon. no need to act like such a dick, jeez." taehyung sighs.
"it was fine. great. perfect. how was yours?" jungkook replies sarcastically with an annoyed look. taehyung doesn't answer verbally, he just smirks and walks off to his next class. jungkook's frown deepens.
taehyung is so fucking annoying.
