"I'm Pregnant"

Annabeth's POV:

I was in cabin reading by book when I started to feel nauseous, I felt a burning in my throat and got up and ran to the bathroom. When I was done puking, I stood at the sink and brushed my teeth. That's the fifth time puking this week I thought as I stared at myself in the mirror. Then I spotted something out of the corner of my eye, it was a box of tampons. A scary thought entered my mind, and I ran out of the bathroom towards the calendar on my wall. When I saw what day it was I started to panic. No that can't be it, there's probably some other reason that I've been throwing up a lot and my period's late, right? I decided to get a pregnancy test just to be sure. I went to the Aphrodite cabin to get a test, they are always getting pregnant and getting abortions, so they have lots of tests. I sneaked in and grabbed one, then headed back to my cabin.

When I got back from the Aphrodite cabin, I had taken three pregnancy tests. I went into the bathroom to take the tests. The tests were laying on the counter and I was waiting for my timer to go off. While I was waiting, I was thinking about what would happen when Percy found out, would he be happy, mad, would he leave me. My thoughts were interrupted by my timer going off. Slowly and shakily, I walked over to the counter and picked up the first test: Negative, I let out a sigh of relief, but when I picked up the second test I gasped and dropped it, it was positive. I looked at the last test, and a single tear ran down my face, it was positive.

Pull yourself together Annabeth  I told myself. I still had to tell Percy, I thought that was probably the first thing I should do. So I headed that way.

When I reached his cabin, I knocked on the door three times before it opened and a very happy Percy was standing in front of me.

"Hey Annabeth, what brings you here?" He asks smiling.

"Hi, Percy, can I come in I need to talk to you." I asked

"Ya sure, come in." he said, his face turning serious when he heard the tone of my voice. I nodded a thank you and walked in. Once inside, I sat on the edge of his bed and motioned for him to do the same. He walked up to his bed and sat down next to me.

"So, what's up?" he asked turning towards me

"Do you remember that night that we had a few weeks ago?" I asked trying not to meet his gaze.

"Ya, what about it?" he responded, sounding confused.

"Well um, the thing is um," I struggled to get the words out "I-I-I'm pregnant, Percy" I waited for him to yell at me and tell me that he never wants to see me again, but I didn't hear any of that. I looked up at him for the first time that day and saw that he was smiling.

"You're really pregnant?" he asked staring at her amazed.

"Yes, and I understand if you don't want anything to do with me or the baby." I say trying desperately to hold back her tears.

Percy put a hand on my cheek and forces me to look at him "Annabeth listen to me, I will never leave you, I want this baby and I will be here every step of the way, we are going to do this together." he said giving me a sympathetic smile. I nodded set my head on his shoulder, while he held her. Maybe I can do this after all I thought.
