The door burst open making Kian look at who opened it, his friend was there which made Kian smile.
His friend, Leah, smiled back "Thank god! You're okay! You just passed out in the hallways and they didn't let me go to the hospital with you cause they said I still had classes, which was mean of them cause my friend just-"
"Okay you can stop now.."
"Ah alright"
"Anyways, I just had lack of sleep and food. And pretty much sick, said by some badass dude from Hawkwood"
"Why was a guy from Hawkwood here?"
"My doctors son. He got suspended so his father took him here, thats what he said"
"Oh? Hook me up with him"
"Date Garvin! Hes not worth it"
"MARVIN! Not Garvin oh my god your so-"
"Okay, okay! Date Marvin!"
"Well thanks for supporting, gladly will do!"
Kian chuckled and then Leah walked to the side of the bed and sat on the chair
"I gotta message my mom, wait then we'll go talk"
Leah opened her phone and messaged her mother. Whilst Kian was patiently waiting for Leah to finish.
knock knock
"Doors open" Leah said, then John came in. Leah was still on her phone though
"Oh, hey John"
"Hey, my dad told me to look after you so I'm here"
"Didn't ask but okay" Kian said then Leah looked at John, who smirked.
"Oh hey cutie" John said and winked at Leah, who blushed, and smiled "Hey, Im Leah" Leah said. Kian rolled his eyes
"Im gonna go use the bathroom. Go flirt and stuff" Kian said and stood up, then noticed "Ah right.. This hospital gown shows my butt" Kian muttered and took the blanket with him.
John chuckled, while looking at Kian who was wrapping a blanket around him. "Your not wearing shorts?" John said, Kian shot his head up, eyes wide open
"Uh yeah, my mom always tells the doctor to get some tests on me or something cause I always get sick even when I eat regularly, and get enough sleep so they pretty much see me- oh my god.. YOUR FATHER SAW ME EXPOSED-"
Leah and John burst out laughing "You just noticed that now?" John got to say while laughing
"Well I think of myself too much and.. thats why!" Kian exclaimed and ran to the bathroom with the blanket wrapped around him
"It's pretty weird though, he went to the hospital like more than 20 times in a month." Leah said
"Why?"
"He always collapses."
"Well hes got more than 1000 visits in the hospital. I think"
"Huh? Last time I heard it was 456 visits? Eh that was like 2 years ago.."
"He's gone through alot.."
"They said it was just a weak immune system or some shit. But it just got worse that made everyone panic. And here we are, his mother not caring anymore cause its like a daily routine."
"Huh, guess I'll see him alot then" John chuckled.
"You bet. And he's also gotten depression ever since his mother started leaving him alone."
"Why?"
"He's not used to being alone, he always needed someone to be with. That's why I rushed here. Last time we left him alone for an hour he cut himself 14 times on his leg."
"W-what?"
"It turns out he always had a cutter in his backpack, which is why his backpack is left at his home"
"He.. did that?"
"Yes. That was just two weeks ago."
"Luckily the nurse was staying with him.." John mumbled
"Yeah, his mother told the doctor to always have a nurse or even the doctor itself beside him. Cause he can harm himself"
"Thats why my father sent me here huh?"
"Yep" Leah said, popping out the 'p', then Kian was out of the bathroom. He was confused about them looking serious and not winking their asses off.
Kian slowly walked to his bed "I thought you two would've been in a make-out session by now. Yet you look so serious like your talking about adult shit"
Leah glared at Kian "No cussing! It makes you less cuter!" Lea exclaimed, standing up
"What? Im not allowed to do that now? Geez! Why cant you let me be me?! Its so easy, leave me alone with the nurses! They can help me alot unlike you! You just talk and talk and tell me shit I dont need to know! Why can't you understand that I want to be myself aswell? That I want to be alone aswell?!"
"Cause I can't Kian! I can't leave you alone! You harmed yourself when I did, and how many cuts were they?! Fourteen! Four fucking teen! Do you know that if we weren't there for 5 hours then that would've been worse?! You could've already bled yourself to fucking death!"
Kian was silent, she was right, but he wanted to. He couldn't take it anymore, his mother didnt even show love towards him anymore. Just plain 'Im going to work, morning, goodnight, you should eat, get some sleep, don't go out at 12am' and that was all, he never heard that 3 words sentence.
He never heard the I love you

After that small argument, Leah agreed to message Kian if she wanted to visit and that Kian will just message if its okay or not.
"Morning" John said, yes, he was still in the hospital. Kian smiled a bit at John and then took his phone from the table beside him

A tear fell from Kians eye as he read the last 3 words of the message 'I love you' and it touched him. That simple message wasn't simple to Kian. It was special.
"Kian? Are you okay?" John said, running towards Kian and wiped his tears. Kian smiled at him brightly and turned his phone off
"She said it" Kian said, which confused John.
"My mom said it"
"She said she loved me"
