The sea on the tranquil sky was too much for me, Clover, to take in. I was a nurserymaid for Mr Rivers and had a day off so I was visiting Hetty and Diamond. "This is bliss!" I thought, pressing my pale face against the window, whilst my vivid green eyes looked into my reflection. The train slowed to a hal;I saw the two girls waving at me and ran out to greet them. "My,hetty! Don't you look nice!And little diamond too!" the two girls were in dresses - their work clothes . Hetty had earlier invited me to meet diamond. Well,her real name is Ellen-Jane - that's another story. I didn't know... ...that she was in Hoxton. I didn't realise that Mildred was going to mourn little Sammy and that we were in the same train station. I was in my black clothes,the one thing that Mildred remembered her in.

I sensed something.I turned around and saw a girl.. A girl with black hair, green eyes and mourning clothes... I ran towards her and -
"CLOVER!" An acquaintance of hers shouted, so Clover turned to face me as I gripped her shoulder.
