Hello and welcome to the story.
If you're reading this part here, I'll warn you this is long, so feel free to skip to chapter one after the warning.
*Ahem*Warning: This story contains instances of Mental, Sexual, and hinted Physical abuse. If you feel as though you cannot go through with reading this, or even have a past of abuse yourself, please, proceed with caution while reading. I plan to give warnings before chapters that contain explicit moments of abuse in them just as a precaution. Again, please take care reading this book, and I hope you may enjoy what I have written.

Long part
-----------------
(Skip to Chapter One if you don't want to read this, though I would appreciate it if you read. This is just some insight on how I got ideas for the story, a little backstory let's say.)If you're reading this thank you for your time. This is just something I wanted to put in to give some insight on what can be ahead in the book, and how I got some ideas for them.
I will say this, I was in an abusive on and off relationship like you will see in this book, I dealt with both mental and sexual abuse but managed to leave the relationship before it got physical.
Many things you see in this book are going to be inspired by my own experiences while still having a more fictional touch, and yes there will be lemon(sex or sexual action) warnings before any of those scenes.
I wanted to make sure I had the correct way of going about my book, editing, the scenarios, the ending, I wanted it to be as real as I could make it.
No one expects a relationship to become abusive or toxic, and it can come in any form from anyone. And the effects are seemingly everlasting.
I still have issues from my abusive relationship which can be surprising since it's been almost a year since I've last dealt with him.
My ex was very controlling of me and honestly did control who I hung out with even if we weren't together. He played the victim card every time I was with someone he didn't like, "Do you know how this makes me feel? It makes me feel like you don't even love me." Is an example of what he had said to me before.
I lost a large group of my friends because he didn't like them, I almost lost a friendship with my current boyfriend because he almost manipulated me into crawling back to him.
When I first met him, he was a sweet kid who was an amazing standing bass player, who wouldn't care if I snagged a drink or snack from him during drama practice...
Most relationships that end up abusive start in ways like that. You meet them, they're sweet, kind, someone you think you can spend the rest of your life with. Then you know something changes.
Maybe they comment about your weight, your appearance, maybe they act victim when you stand up for yourself, maybe the end up hitting you and saying it will never happen again.
Abusive relationships are a serious issue, and it's not always abusive males, there are abusive females as well. For my story I decided to choose what was familiar to me but this is an important thing.
Please if you are someone who thinks you may be in an abusive relationship, get out even if you're afraid to. If you live with your abuser, call 911 before hand if you must find some way out. There are numbers to call specifically for this I'll leave at the bottom, there are ways out.
I apologise that this rant was so long but it felt important to include and I hope it's not too everywhere.
Please enjoy my story with caution, thank you for taking the time to read this.
Please have a good day.
