A Surprising Turn of Fate

*cellphone rings*

"Hello?"

[Hello, Inui-kun. Can you ask Sakimori-kun if he is free today at 14:00? If possible, I would like him to have a brief cameo in our film.]

"Ah, yes. I'll call you later."

[Okay. Thank you. See you later.]

"Yes. Good bye."

*door opens*

"Kazuri-kun, are you free later at 14:00?"Inui asked and hugged him as soon as Sakimori went inside the room.

"Yes, why?"

"Kimura-san wanted you to have a cameo role in our drama."

"Oh, sure. I'd love to."

"Okay! I'll inform him."

*knock* *knock*

"Come in."

"Keiko-san, good morning." Io and Sakimori greeted

"Good morning you two. Where is Ryu-kun?"

"He went out to make a phone call." Sakimori answered politely

"I see. Shun, how are you feeling?" Makoto's mother, Keiko,asked

"I'm fine. Sorry for making you worry mother."

"I was so shocked when I heard you collapsed in the studio. You need to take care of your body."

"Yes. I'll be more careful from now on." He answered politely

"Get well soon. Here are some homemade cookies. Try some." She said and gave her son and also the two boys sitting at the couch.

"Thank you very much, Keiko-san."

"You're welcome." she answered with a smile.

"Anyway, Shun...Your father might visit you today. I'll go for now."

"Yes, take care."

"Bye bye, Keiko-san. Take care."

"Good bye you two. Say hi to Ryu-kun for me." She said and left.

"Kazuri-kun! Let's go! We need to hurry to avoid the traffic."

"Oh sure. Do I need to bring something?"

"Nope."

"See you later, Shun-kun!"

"Yeah. Take care."

Later that day, Makoto's father visited him, they chatted for a while and then his father was called for another business meeting. They said their goodbye's and then afternoon finally arrived.

Again, Makoto reminisced the time when Kazuri has to go to America for his shooting. He remebered that when they were having a video chat with their band mates, his voice sounds so lonely, it was a sad voice.

He remembered the time where Makoto joked about his bandmates bringing flowers to him if they visit him and  Sakimori did bring flowers the next day. He reminisced about all the things that they have done. and after a few hours Makoto was now finishing his list, soon after thinking about it for a long time he fell asleep.

After a few minutes, Sakimori came to visit him only to find him asleep. He noticed a piece of paper that Makoto was holding. He was curious on what the paper contains, so he carefully removed the paper and read it slowly. As he was reading the contents, his heart was beating faster, and his cheeks suddenly became red.

"You were not supposed to read that." Makoto said in an embarrased tone

"Sorry, Shun-kun." Sakimori replied in the same tone then there was an awkward silence between them.

"S-so, what do you think about it?" Makoto asked in a soft voice.

"Uhm, Thanks I guess. Though I didn't notice it...I'm grateful."

"But, I didn't know you are attracted to the same gender." Sakimori continued

"Well, sorry for being gay."

"But, it is not necessary to say that I look cute when I try to be angry."

"Y-you read that? This is so embarrassing." Makoto said and looked away

"Yep, item number 10 say that--"

"Please don't remind me."

"*laughs* I also like you. Whenever I am with you...I feel happy. I feel like you were the only one who can make me happy in a way that others can't." Sakimori confessed and his cheeks was as red as a tomato.

There was a brief moment of slence between them as Sakimori tried to say something about the most important thing in the list, not noticing that Makoto stood up and went near him.

"I love you." Makoto said and hugged him.

"Yeah,me too. I love you. Stay by my side?"

"Yeah, always."

"Cheesy."

"I thought you wanted that."

"No, you are you....and that is fine for me."

The two wasn't really sure on what to do but then, their bodies just moved on their own. Makoto  kissed Sakimori.

"I didn't quite realize it but, I have always liked you. The time when you said that you loved my lyrics... I felt like my heart would burst."

"That's why you made a longlist?"

"I need to make sure. If I will tell you how I feel, I need to know how to explain it."

"Did you ever consider trying to just feel?" Sakimori wondered

"Maybe...maybe right around now?" Makoto spoke and held Sakimori's hand.

When did I start feeling so elated whenever I would catch a glimpse of him?

When did I start feeling my cheeks heat up whenever he would sit beside me?

When did I start feeling butterflies in my stomach whenever he would smile at me?

Makoto then kissed him lightly once again

I wonder when he was able to capture my heart...

But I guess those questions doesn't even matter anymore

After that, 3 days have passed and Makoto was now discharged from the Hospital. Their work routine was almost the same as last time. The two would sit beside each other during  their break. They would do fan services and during concerts they would always stay beside each other.
