Chapter 1-

The air whisped past my shoulders licking me with its ice cold tongue, sending shivers up my spine. The air was gradually getting cooler, playing with my goosebumps. Slowly tormenting my and everyones custom to the cold.

It wouldn't be much of a problem if I wasn't here by force, my friend Sara dragged me to this wretched place. It was the dead of winter and some genius decided to throw a party in the freezing cold! To top it all off the party is inhabited by egotistic guys and confidant girls. Not stereotyping or anything but rich people are defiantly snobs and rule breakers...well most of them. I think. Sighing I turned to towards the table which held the drinks, if I'm here i miaswell enjoy myself. Approaching the table i grabbed a clean cup and poured a freshly opened sprite into it.

"Hmm Not drinking?" a low husky voice cooed behind me. Really...Turning on my heel I came to face Brendan. He was smiling...smiling at me? Bringing myself to reality i blurted out my words.

"Hey, yeah not a drinker especially when i have been elected as driver" I smiled...ok. Now would be a good time to reply. Stop staring down at me. Daring a peak I looked straight into his eyes, his golden brown eyes glowed whilst staring at...me. OMG! Is he staring at me! Yes...if you haven't guessed i may like him a bit. I am guilty for a crush.

"Haha, nice. Someone needs to drive the drunks home. Myself I have only drunk this drink i am not much of a drinker either" smiling he nodded and looked around then back to me.

"Umm...hey Sage do you want come talk with the others...with me?" his eyes looked directly into mine. My face instantly fell. I do not want to talk to those other girls...they mock me and look me up and down like i'm a new piece of meat they want to sink their teeth into. His eyebrows rose indicating a answer.

"Ummm...I'm sorry but I need to check on Sara. She needs constant watch in case she decides swimming in the pool is a good idea" my smile looked fake and forced.

Brendan resigned and nodded then walked to his group of friends. God...I am the biggest chatterbox but when it comes to guys   i am at a loss for words. Jeez smooth Sage. Real smooth. Just as i decided to return to the outer scene of the party Sara hoped over and stared incredeosly at me.

"Who was that?" she jabbed, her eyes rolling at me.

"Noone...just..Sara cut me off "Just tall, cute and handsome! I swear Sage you should tell you how you feel! You have liked him for like...ever!" she was sincere. Sara was the easiest person to talk to and get along with, she could attract the attention of everyone. Her hair was naturally very curly. Which she hated and continuously straightened against my words. Her chestnut hair reached the end of her shoulder blades, he eyes were a emerald green and matched her light tan. She had a dancers build and attracted some guys attention.

"No Sara, i am too nervous...besides there's a guy whom you have had your eye on for ages staring at youuuuu"

"WHERE!" she come in close suddenly whispered. Playing coy  i replied "Hmmm...at 2 o'clock!". Her head instantly swivelled around to face Devon. He chuckled at her reaction which slightly moved his sandy curls, he was of course a jock. Grinning with teeth Sara ran over yelling back to me I should go hang out. Shaking my head I went to sit on the log near the outside of the party near the bush.

"All alone?" a thick velvety voice curled around my ears. It sent a shivers through me...and i don't mean a cold one. On instinct i turned my head and couldn't believe my eyes.
