Tears flew down her face as she dashed into the woods; she didn't want to go home everyone hated her. She just wanted to get lost in the lush greenery and cry her soul out probably cry her life away too because she was tired of the horrible hand fate had dealt her. Was this really the life she was made to live? Isabella had always done what she was told and tried to be the perfect child but she was never good enough. Scars covered her body most were from her father while the rest was from self-infliction due to self-hatred. She was crying uncontrollably on a rock in the middle of the forest; when she heard a powerful growl at first she ignored it and continued crying but looked up, to see where the sound had come from when she heard it again even deadlier and louder than before.
She simply couldn't believe her eyes. "No, it couldn't be," she thought. It was a real-life wolf; a huge one!!! His thick midnight fur, piercing black eyes, and sharp long canines made him look even deadlier. And even though he approached her slowly like a predator would approach their prey. She did the unexpected. And threw her arms around it.
She threw herself at him not even thinking or fearing what could happen to her. The wolf was certainly taken aback but she didn't care; she hugged it tightly; like her entire existence depended on it and started crying harder then whispered: "I knew you were real". Soon enough her tears stopped flowing.
Two hours later the sun began to set
When she noticed that the sun was setting she nudged the wolf who was comfortably resting in her arms and said " I have to go" when he looked up. He whined in response but bowed his head in agreement when he too noticed how late it was getting. " Awe don't look so sad; I promise to visit you again," she said and started walking back to the entrance of the forest. Smiling for the first time in months and started humming to the song her mom used to sing to her when she was a child. She didn't know the name and since she didn't have any gadgets of her own she couldn't look it up.
She finally reached her old, tired looking house that looked more like an abandoned house. She was walking to the door with the smile still glued to her lips when she saw a garbage bag filled with clothes lying on the step. Her smile instantly died when she remembered what he had said when she was 13.
"On your 18th birthday is the last day I ever want to see your miserable looking face"
And he meant it. Obviously. When she looked at the door she noticed that the locks were changed. " I was now completely alone and unwanted; my life is over." she thought. A tear slipped from her eye then tears begun to rain. she grabbed the garbage bag and started running. Not caring or knowing where she was going because let's face it; she really had nowhere to go. no one wanted her. and she had no family or relatives that she knew of. Friends were out of the question because no one wanted to be friends with a freak.
She tripped over a stone then noticed that she was back in the forest, where she had met the wolf, and her clothes had made a trail behind her because of the garbage bag that was torn from being dragged so far. She crawled over to the rock that she was sitting on earlier and hugged her knees; secretly wishing that the wolf would return and keep her company. Her heart sank when she thought "Maybe the wolf found her annoying".
The night began to get really cold and after a hour she gave up on thinking that he would come. Finally, a cold unpleasant sleep claimed her.
