Isabella and Kane

Chapter 2

Earlier that day

kane was furiously seated in his office because the other packs had the audacity to ask for his help. "They had the impudence to ask for my help!!! My protection! How DARE they!!!" he yelled pushing off all the contents on his desk in one swift motion. his wolf wanted to go and kill them all one by one mercilessly but he knew better. There was no doubt that he and his fighter were stronger than them all but he knew of the responsibility that came with wiping out a pack and killing an alpha. Yes his wolf would have gotten stronger, he knew that from experience, but the territory would automatically belong to him and he didn't want to control half of the country. His pack was already the 6th or probably the 5th largest in the continent and maybe the 13th or 10th largest in the world and he wanted it to stay that way.

Greed always leads to utter destruction his father and brother showed him that first hand.

He was deep in thought when his first in command mind link him and told him that there was a human in the forest near to the pack house. "I'll deal with it" he growled through the mind link and rushed out his office. "Don't do anything stup..." his first in command started to say before he placed a mind block up. his wolf was angry and wanted to kill something. He knew that the human wouldn't have gotten to the pack house because normally they would just ignore it but not this time he was angry

His wolf quickly caught and chased the human's scent. He sensed that something was off but he ignored it; slowly and menacingly, he approached the girl crying on the rock. He growled to get her attention but she ignored him; which made him angrier. So this time he let out a louder growl.

Kane's POV

She slowly lifted her head and revealed her beautiful brown orbs which were filled with shock. I didn't even have a second to react when she flung her arms around me and started crying again. Her shock was nothing compared to mine when she threw her arms around me. I don't know why my wolf didn't throw her off and kill her for touching me. he was behaving like a complete PUSSY!!!

"I knew you were real" I heard the girl whisper.

When she noticed that the sun was setting she nudged me. I was comfortably resting in her arms, when she said " I have to go" after I looked up. My wolf whined in response but bowed his head in agreement when he noticed how late it was getting. " Awe don't look so sad; I promise to visit you again," she said and started walking back to the entrance of the forest.

I shifted and slowly walked back to the pack house this time happier than before. I went straight into my office which was now cleaned and laid down on the chair still thinking about the beautiful stranger I met. I remembered how sad her beautiful face looked when she was crying and my wolf began to shake and growl angrily wanting to shift. At first, I was confused as to why he was reacting like that and why I had the sudden urge to protect her? When I let out a growl one that shook the building. My eyes shifted and my wolf said " MATE!!!!"
