Both Nitin and Tamaki started recollecting memories of their childhood as they sat inside the old fashioned room of Nitin's.
"So, I'll ask you again...okay...do you remember our Nikki?" Tamaki broke through their conversation and asked [refer to chapter 1]
This time, Nitin put an effort into his head so that he could remember or recall at least something that Tamaki would describe as "one and only "in his life.
He suddenly recalled a picture into his mind. A bit hazy and blurry.
-Memory-
There was a girl standing near him and Tamaki. She wore a pretty frock with blue flower petals falling all over the cloth. She had pretty smooth black hair, to say exactly, it was wavy in structure. Her chocolate brown eyes as pretty as one could imagine, sparkling, glittering, lively, eyes and such a cute, slightly curved beautiful and graceful smile complemented her beauty.
P.S: THIS GIRL IS 6 YEARS OLD ACCORDING TO NITIN'S MEMORY.
"Nikki, huh!" Nitin said with a smirk on his face.
"So, now you remember?" Tamaki excitedly asked. "Yes, I do now." Nitin said to the questioning friend, but this time, it was with a totally different expression.
*puff*
Nitin looked like the little brother of a tomato. Tamaki confirmed that Nitin had well remembered Nikki.
"Wait wait...what promise are we talking about?" Nitin looked so confused. He tried recollecting more and more.
Then suddenly...he recalled
~When Nitin was 6 years old~
"Hey Nitin! Gosh...stop daydreaming...Tamaki, you too...you guys okay?" the cute little girl asked both the boys with a worried expression on her face.
Tamaki: You just said you are going to England with your family because of your dad's transfer...how can we be fine...honestly...we won't be able to see to again...sob...sob.
Nitin and Tamaki both started crying as tears of departure fed their rosy cheeks and Nikki also started to sob
Nikki: guys! I know it's hard to say goodbye and I will miss you guys as much as you will miss me...
Wait! I know, let's bury memory capsules and open those when we grow older...what do you guys think?
Both the boys were brought back to their cheerful and eager faces as they heard her advice.
Nitin: that would be a great idea...but what to bury?
Tamaki: I know...my dad has a deck of cards in his room that is not being used, let's all three of us take three different cards and bury them in our memory capsules.
Nikki: good idea...since my flight is today evening and Tamaki's also leaving for Japan by tomorrow morning's flight...lets meet up at today 12:00 PM near Nitin's house...now how does that sound? Oh! Also remember to prepare memorial letters for our capsules.
Nitin: sure...okay...let's do it then.
The three friends hugged each other and went towards their homes.
Later... at noon,
All the three friends gathered around with their letters. Tamaki then handed the queen of hearts to Nikki...the king of hearts to Nitin and kept the joker to himself.
Nikki: okay...so now, a place to bury...let's see...
Tamaki: that's easy...lets bury them in our favourite places to visit in our different countries...then we will find them when we grow up...together.
Nitin nodded in agreement.
Nikki: okay then, on Nitin's 22nd birthday, we will meet up at his house...it's a promise.
Tamaki: yes...we will.
Nitin: deal.
And they group hugged before they went their separate ways.
Nitin started to sob when suddenly,
"You better not forget me and wait for me...understand...baka" Nikki shouted while blushing towards Nitin.
Nitin was all flustered looking like a total tomato.
~Present~
"Oh by the way...Happy Birthday Nitin...it's late but still...I forgot to bring a gift...you know...since I was in a hurry and all...hehe!" Tamaki exclaimed with glittering bright marine eyes snapping Nitin out of his memory to the present.
"Thank you very much! I almost forgot that today's my birthday...and you just delivered me the perfect birthday gift...you came all this way...that's more than enough...really!" Nitin replied with a gentle smile.
"And by the way, just recalled our promise...how could I let it slip my mind...dumb me!" Nitin said while face palming.
"Of course! How can i expect you to remember a promise we made years ago...he cannot even remember his own birthday...baka" Tamaki said while delivering a nasty little smirk.
When suddenly...
'Ding-Dong!'
