Chapter 7 ~ Gone

My POV..

I wake up hazed, sore stomach and sore face..

All I can hear is beeping and whispering.

"Jodi" a quite voice says, I love up to see tanny, leah and Hattie.

"How you feeling?" Leah asks.

"I'm sore, but I'm fine".

"We where so worried about you" tanny says.

"I have to get out of here, I need to leave". I say worriedly and the girls rush to my bed.

"No jodi, you can't. The doctors said that your not ready to leave yet". Hattie says.

"Ryan, shit I had a date with him.."

"It's fine he knows your in the hospital" Hattie says again and I nod and relax into the hospital bed.

"Okay, we have to go but we will come see you tomorrow" tanny says and they hug me and walk out.

Jims words go round my head 'I'll be back for you, you little rat!. Watch your back'

I unhook the heart monitors and get out of bed and get ready..

I go to the window and climb down the fire escape..

When I get to the bottom I start walking..

I've been walking for about an hour and find a lake. I sit down on a rock and sigh.

"Your not supposed to be out the hospital" a voice says and I jump.

I turn around and see Ryan.

"Can I sit?" Gesturing to the rock that I'm sitting on

I nod and he sits.

"Sorry I missed the date" I say and he looks at me.

"It's okay.. You can make it up to me" he says with a wink and I laugh.

"I like your laugh" he says with a heart stopping smile.

"Thanks" I smile back.

"Jodi.. How's jim?" He asks oh shit I knew this was coming.

"He's my dad, but he isn't a dad to me, a dads someone that holds you when your scared or tucks you in at night" I say with tears in my eyes.

"Does he hurt you?". He asks and I can't keep the tears in any longer and let them out life a waterfall..

"Hey, hey come hear" he says and puts me on his knee and hugs me and rubs my back.

"He used to burn me with cigarettes" I say and roll my sleeves up and Ryan scans the scars, he takes my wrist and kisses the scars.

"Jodi, I'm not going to let anyone hurt you" he says and kissed my forehead.

"He.. He used to get his mates in and they would" I chocked on my tears and Ryan pulled me even closer.

"Shhh". He says

"We need to get you back to the hospital" he says again and I nod.

He grabs my hand and leads me to his car.

"How did you find me?"

"The girls says that you where wanting out of the hospital"... "Why?"

"Em, just after he lift he said that he was coming back for me and that I was to watch my back" Ryan's grip on the steaming wheel got tighter and his knuckles were white.
