Okay, Max and Ruby's parents die in a car accident picking Ruby up from bunny scouts. Max survived the accident but suffered from extreme brain injuries, Ruby sets the mother figure for Max, however his grandmother molests him. The trauma caused him to not talk alot, The reason he plays with Ambulances and Firetrucks is because those are the only vehicles he can remember from the accident.
... And super bunny was a fantasy he would retreat to when his life was bad...
