It is not certain as to who came first, only that the existence of the Other appeared long before humanity.
Among the first beings, there was Rose. She was a girl with uniquely fair skin with silky silver hair and mysterious red eyes that tended to glow every now and then.
Her beginning is unclear, but many stories of her have appeared throughout the ages. Stories of a girl who thrived in darkness and treasured the moon and survived off the life that flows through human veins.
She is as cunning as she is sly. She often flashes an amused smirk, with mischievous eyes.
But there are always more sides to a story than what is shared.

(Present) The Hidden Forest in The Shadow Realm- Vampire Territory
Crossing my legs and positioning my head atop my palm, I presented the perfect image of boredom. Allowing for my long silver hair to fall to the side, slightly over the armrest of my throne, I became comfortable.
My red gaze sweeped around the silent courtroom, the ancient stony walls held fissures and cracks around them.
Sighing, I spoke more to myself than to anyone else.
"I should remodel sometime. Maybe some new curtains?"
The gothic style architecture of the castle was outdated, in manys opinion. Though it was old, I could never find it in myself to change anything throughout the centuries as this was my home, as well as the castle of my people. It was a part of our heritage.
As I gently floated from my seat and across the room and away from my dias, towards the large windows, I sat on the ledge, looking outdoors and thinking.
The moon hung high in the starry sky, full and glowing.
"Milady, have you decided whether or not to meet with the Alpha?" I sensed my loyal Butler Alber approach, his footsteps silent and his presence gentle.
As I turned my head to the side looking at the old Vamp who has stayed loyally at my side for so long, I noted that his eyes were downcast in respect of my presence.
"Dawn?" I perk up.
Decidedly I had done best to keep watch over the world, I had also kept my distance. That was until recently (or as recently as any Vampire feels), when a young Alpha leader made her way over and started an alliance she called 'friendship' with my kind. I can't say it was easy, when in fact, it started out very rough.Ever since the joining of our kind, I had learned to enjoy the company of the childish, yet brilliant Alpha Dawn. From there, the world changed.
Not, per say, the human world, but most certainly, the Shadow Realm had. Once it was out that the two most largest and powerful species allied, quickly did the other species join in and thus became what is now a new era of peace.
A smirk danced it's way onto my lips as I looked at Alber.
"Why, of course, Alber, I must go see my dearest friend! And here I was starting to get bored!" I quickly jumped back into the castle and allowed Alber to make preparations.
All around, I could feel many Vampires stirring. We are a quiet and hidden bunch who take to the shadows quite well. But I am different. As Queen, and as myself, I enjoy the shadows, but I found that I thrived best under the moonlit sky.
The ornate and tremendous doors of the castle swished open at the snap of my finger. I made sure to gain composure and stand straight, fluffing out the my black and red dress that trailed behind me. I adjusted my black diamond headpiece that served as a crown and took in a deep breath.
