Sunsets and Waves

You two left the house. As you walked out the door, Daniel tried to hold your hand but you quickly pulled it away from him. "Oh, sorry. " He said scratching the back of his neck. "It's fine it's just,-" You sighed. "Never mind. " You said looking down. "It's just what?" Daniel said sympathetically. I always get uncomfortable with guys because my last boyfriend, Michael, would try to hold my hand and call me beautiful and things like that but-" You sniffled your nose as a few tears fell down your face and Daniel pulled you into a tight hug. You rested your head on his shoulder. "Thanks." you said to Daniel. "It's what... friends are for? Right?" He said. "Yeah, I guess." You replied back.
You and Daniel walked to a beach and sat in the sand. You wanted the sunset go down and you watched the waves wash the sand away. A couple hours went by and you guys decided to go for a walk. While you were walking you two decided to get some ice cream. Then you walked home. Daniel walked you to Logan's house. "Well, I guess I'll see you later?" He said still holding your hand. "Yeah." You smiled. You and Daniel stared into each other's eyes. Slowly the both of you leaned in and your lips met his. A moment later you pulled away and smiled. Daniel smiled as well and looked down while scratching his neck. "Well, I'll catch you later." He said, still smiling.
