Last night was a blur to veronica, she dreamed about the home she left behind, the future ahead of her and all the struggles and sleepless nights it took to get there and how she never told her parents the true reason that she decided to become a detective. No time to think about that she says in a hurry as she jumps out of bed it is now 7 am and she wants to be on the road by 7:15 am so she won't be late. She doesn't even say a word to the front desk lady who is looking at her like she's crazy. After that dream, her heart is racing. Why can't I stop thinking about this, Veronica thinks as she packs up her day bag in her car. "Why" was always veronicas favorite word when she was young, her parents thought it was just curiosity and they let her wonder freely and though it will die down as she got older, but her curiosity grew with age. And after that night, she witnessed something so unknown to her at the time and still the very question why makes the day haunt her, all the details she remembers like it was yesterday. After it happened she shut herself off and pretended it never happened her family knew she was not gonna tell them what happened she was stubborn when it came to her feelings and right now it was eating at her so much she couldn't even concentrate on just getting to the school. When she is in her car she drives off and tries to get the memory out of her head, after an hour it is finally gone and all that's left in her mind is the thought of how close she was to her dream school. She drives in silence till she sees a sign that says: welcome to hollow creek. A sigh of relief was the only noise she heard in over an hour a few minutes later she arrived at her new home for the next 4 years. she found a parking spot near her dorm in 10 minutes, as she got out of her car the realization that she is about to uncover the truth about the night that was bothering her just a few hours ago.

she walks toward front desk and gets signed in. your dorm number is 667 its on the 8th floor. she walks towards the rustic old elevator clicks the button and waits, as the door opens she walks into a blood red room that only would fit maybe 2 small people and the buttons are almost unreadable. she clicks the one she thinks is right and the elevator moves slowly stopping every few seconds, it takes 3 minutes to get to her floor she steps out with her suitcase trailing behind her the hallway is slightly lit and is a greyish blue color. she walks down the long dark hallway to her room. As she gets closer she sees a door fly open she was so close to the door that it almost hits her in my face. she looks at the number on the door '667'  she sighs and walks in she sees two girls 1 on the couch with headphones in and another girl yelling on the phone. It takes awhile for 1 of them to notice her the girl with the headphones looks at her and sighs 'welcome to shu' she says In an annoyed voice, I'm Aspen and this is Mae. hey, I'm Veronica she says in a very confused voice, who ran out the door a sec ago? Veronica askes

That's Mae's father aka the principle that who she is talking to. aspen says in a tone like she has had to tell someone this before. let's take you to your room she gets up and walks me to a slightly lit room, walls are bare and dark grey color with a small bed with sheets matching the walls[bare and grey]. thanks, I say and put my bag down on the small bed, I look around and then reality hits me this is where im gonna live for the next few years, that thought excited me but also makes me think of the reason im here not just for the degree, to find out the mystery that haunts her every night.
