Today's lecture was about genetics and genetic disorders. Karoto was slightly lost, but he understood the majority of it. He couldn't get over the look on her idiotic face when he walked in. Navigating through the building was harder than he expected, but he at least made to all his classes during the day. If the Legomojian was being completely honest, he quite enjoyed his day.
Now, he was writing notes on sheets of paper he stole with a stolen pen. His red eyes laid upon a note that wasn't there before. He carefully opened it and read its contents.
I think you look cute <3
Tan cheeks flushed a slight pink color. He'd probably find out who it was and tell them he's not looking for romance. His eyes automatically glued on Mr. Cook once more. 10 minutes later, the bell rang. Everyone packed up and began to walk out. Karoto grabbed Sarah's attention to prevent her from leaving yet.
"I didn't know you went here."
"That's a lie and you know it. I don't know what you want to achieve by following me, but it stops now. My bracelet is not going anywhere."
He got serious. "If you don't give it up willingly, it will be forcefully taken. This is your last warning, Sarah. I suggest you heed it."
"You're going to have to fight me for it. See you tomorrow." He watched as she walked away. Terpomo was counting on him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Tyler Cook watched his students leave. He noticed Sarah and Karoto in conversation. He was confused on why she looked so cold towards him. Did he do something? He wanted to make sure his newest pupil was alright.
"Karoto, what happened? Sarah looked mad."
"I think I may have gotten in her space. I was just trying to get to know her. Pretty sure I messed up though."
"Sarah isn't the talkative type. She'll warm up to you. Give her some time. In the meantime, don't surround her at once. Go slowly. Maybe ask her what she likes."
"Thanks Mr. Cook." Then, he took his leave.
The young teacher watched his student leave. Sarah seemed like she needed someone. All her smiles and positive attitudes weren't real. He figured she was lonely.
Tyler went over and sat his desk. He had a few late assignments to grade and an essay to read. He was grateful the boy wanted to be her friend. At the beginning of the year, he saw her push everyone away from her.
The brown haired man finished grading and began reading the essay Sarah handed him the other day. All her essays were outstanding and this one was no exception. She always exceeded his expectations.
After cleaning up, he packed his bag and headed out. He walked down the parking lot til he saw a yellow and black car that looked exactly like Bumblebee from Transformers. He opened the door and put the keys in ignition.
As he was driving, he spotted a familiar face laying in an alleyway. He pulled over and called out.
"Karoto? What are you doing there? Where's your parents?"
Said man lifted his head up and locked eyes with his new teacher. He came up with a lie. "My parents threw me out. Said I was old enough to life by myself. I don't want to be a bother, teach. I'm okay in this alley."
"Nonsense! You can stay with me until you can rent an apartment or buy a house."
"I'm fine... really.."
"Get in the car, Karoto. I'm not leaving you in an ally." The Legomojian gave in and walked to the car with his things. He sat in the backseat and place his papers beside him.
