Everything in the morning is gray. The sky, the clouds, even I felt gray. I sigh and get out of bed. I stand at my closet, and stare at my clothes for a few minutes, before pulling out my favorite black hoodie and jeans. I grab my backpack and head downstairs to the kitchen where I find my lunch-bag. I grab a granola bar and run out the kitchen door to my driveway, where Diana is already in her car waiting for me. I get in the passenger seat.
"How are you feeling?" Diana asks as she backs out of the driveway.
"I'm fine actually. I only have a small bruise on my arm, but I think that was from tackling Lily." I say as I look out the window at the trees and houses passing by. Soon we stop outside a small yellow house with flowers in the front yard. Lily comes barreling out of the door and into the car.
"Good morning you guys!" Lily practically sang as she jumped into the car. She is a morning person, while Diana and I most certainly are not.
