Dawn of a New Life

Y/N POV outside a small brick one story building in downtown Vale:

Finally its time, after all the shady applications and practical begging me and the crew are heading to beacon but i gotta make one stop first.

(Thinking) Here it is, why the fuck am i so nervous? I'm a criminal mastermind...well former...but i'm sitting here biting my nails thinking about what is to come when i knock on this door, well Mercy,Ryder and Garret are waiting in the car, its now or never.

*Knocks on the door*

???: ONE SECOND

*The door creeks open to reveal Audry who immediately gets a sour face and stares you dead in the eyes*

Audry: Oh you, what do you want Y/N you already saw Sarah this month?

Y/N: *You pull the beacon acceptance letter out of your pocket and show it to her* Its time I gave up crime sis, i'm going to beacon with the rest of G/N and we are starting a new life. Im doing it not only for my own benefit but for Sarah as well, so she can have a brother worth looking up to and idolizing.

Audry is stunned at first and checks the letter to see if its fake and takes a deep breath

Audry: *sigh* I guess if you are serious about this then MAYBE i can see to it that you see Sarah more often, she is at school anyways right now, ill bump it up to two times a month and slowly let you back in our lives.

*You beam with approval*

Audry: BUT if i see ONE news report that your gang did another heist you can say goodbye to me and her. Got it?!

You hug her...for the first time in years, since before you became a criminal. You forgot how nice it is to have a family that supports you. Is this content you are feeling? Normally you get warm and fuzzy counting money after a heist but this is a new level of euphoria.

Y/n: Thank you Audry...you have my word.

Audry: I better, good luck by the way bro, make mom and dad proud.

She cracks a small smile as she closes the door leaving you there, letter in hand and a beaming smile. Maybe it would be all right after all.

You make it back to the car with your team waiting for you. You sit shotgun with Mercy driving (Monty save you) and the twins in the back already asleep with an hour car ride to the bullheads awaiting you. 

Mercy: So how did it go boss? She says starting the car

Y/n: Well i got to start off with one more visit a month and if i don't fuck it up ill slowly be let in her life and more importantly Sarah's. 

Mercy: Well i'm glad, you have always been like a bro to me and our rag-tag bag of misfits is a family. Beacon aint ready for us to raise HELL and make the school our bitch.

You chuckle at her profanity, sure everyone curses but Mercy is so pure looking and seeing her swear like a sailor has always make you chuckle

Mercy: Ay Boss?

Her talking snaps you out of your thought

Y/n: Eh?

Mercy: Did you uhh...pack your mask? She chuckles and continues driving

You let out a chuckle of your own.

Y/N: Of course i did, its always gonna be a part of me so its in my bag.

Mercy: Good...cause we all did too, hell, we are gonna CRUSH any costume party

You both share a laugh as you let sleep overcome you deciding to get what you can out of this car ride, following the twins example.
