What You Thought You Knew

You know that feeling. The feeling of falling in love for the first time. The feeling that you're gonna be alright. You're gonna be okay with the situation you're in. 

That's where I am right now. 

Right, right. You don't know who I am. 

The name's Austin. Austin Ross, and until now, I've never found love. A senior in high school. I'll admit, I've dated before, but who hasn't? But today, while browsing our school's Instagram, I found love. Through a poem of all things.

Maybe it was the part about the up's and down's of life being a lot like the up's and down's of a roller coaster, or maybe the part that keeping secrets, even from yourself, is a difficult thing, but all I know is that I'm in love with this guy. 

Oh, yeah. Interesting thing about me, is that I'm gay. I've liked guys for as long as I can remember, but it doesn't stop me from being the star quarterback for our school's 6x national championship football team. 

Anyway, whoever this guy is, I know that he gets me. He poured his heart out, and it feels like it was to me. 

And he signed it "-Séamus." 

Now, Have you felt this strong of a feeling of love? Cause I bet I hadn't before today.
