Chapter 2. Into the forest
Immediately after breakfast she went to the forest, whit Lucian on her tail. First she must go through the forest before she can go to the mountains. The journey was long and though, when she was on the top of a hill she hit her camp there, and decided to rest, because tomorrow would be a hard day.
Lucian the wolf was acting strange that evening. Tabitha was wondering why the wolf was acting so strange but she couldn’t find the conclusion. The wolf start crying, “Lucian, stop it!” she screamed. But the wolf didn’t listen. “Stop it, Lucian!” she said loudly. Lucian turned his head towards her, and accepted the order. “What was that all about?” she asked, Lucian laid down whit his paws’ over his nose. “Oh, he, you so pathetic” Lucian barked loudly. “Don’t act like you’re brave, because you are a wimp.” she laughed. Lucian growled meanly. “Watch out who you growling at!” she said angrily. But the wolf didn’t stop growling. She kicked the wolf against his mouth, “bad wolf,” he was upset about the kick so he ran away, straight into the tall grass. “Lucian, stop come back.” She ordered the wolf, but it couldn’t hear her. She grabbed her PDA and ran after the wolf.
She searched and searched everywhere, but she couldn’t find Lucian. But just when she lost all hope of finding the wolf, she heard a cry. She didn’t know for sure that it was Lucian but she had to try, what if he needs her. She ran to the area where the sound came from. But then it stopped. She searched everywhere for a animal, that could make that noise. And she saw a female wolf whit her pups. She knew that she was in great danger; the wolf could be very protective over her pups. Tabitha walked in a circle around the wolf.
These one wouldn’t be so kind towards people, Lucian was even not that kind in the beginning, but he turned around when Tabitha began to play with the wolf and give him allot of love, than the wolf turned around and begins to like people, but he can't handle when people hit him. That would be the reason why he left. And now Tabitha must find him, he can’t care for himself, because he never learned it. So she has to hurry and find him. When she past the wolf whit her pups she heart another wolf cry this hast to be Lucian she remember the sound.
She ran towards the sound, and saw Lucian in a leg hold trap. She scared to death when she didn’t saw Lucian move, she thought by herself that he was dead. “Lucian, ooh my god what have I done to you?” On that moment the wolf raised his head. “Thank god, you’re still alive.” She ran to the wolf. “Hey, I’m sorry that I kicked you.” She hugged the wolf. “Ooh that must hurt a lot” quickly she tried to put the trap of his leg. She had to hurry because the hunters heard the noise of the wolf. And they are already on their way. She tried and tried but she can’t get the trap of, than she thought by herself that she could also get the pin out where the trap was stuck to. She followed the rope and find the pin, she pull on the pin and ran back to Lucian, “common we have to go, you probably can't ran on that leg, I’ll put you on my neck.” She packed his legs and pulls his over her shoulders.
“Hey you there, that’s our wolf.” The hunters came after Tabitha. “We have to run that can hurt a little. I’ll never give you away you’re mine,” so she began to ran. It was getting dark; so they have to be careful, because Tabitha can’t see in the dark. And before she knows it, they fall in a hole in the ground. “Au,” the wolf gives a scream his leg must hurt a lot. “ shush, you have to be quiet” then there was a blinding light. “What are you doing here whit our wolf?’’ “Shine that light another way please, and I am here for a school mission, and this wolf is my own pet” “can you prove that?” Tabitha was getting angry. “Just get me out of here and I’ll prove it.”
