Everyone left the pitch with smiles on their faces. The game had been good and cheering had been fun but I think everyone would agree when I say we were shattered.

Parents said goodbye to boarders and students went up to their room or hung about in the ‘games room’ where students were allowed to hang around on the weekends. I was unaware of this room up till now.

Scarlett suggested we stay up in the girls’ free room and talk until it was time for bed. The squad minus the boys all talked about how the night went and just genuine girly stuff.

“Okay so James was asking me why you’re ignoring him,” Scarlett asked me, while drinking some tea; it was pretty cold out now.

“Why not, he’s annoying,” I shrugged. I was envying Scarlett’s tea while shivering. Why had I declined it?

“I guess but once you get to know him he’s alright. But I will never fully forgive him for what he did,” Scarlett said, she winced once she said the last part as if she knew she had said too much.

I didn’t have to ask just raise and eye brow before she told me.

“He broke my best friend’s heart last year; he felt really bad about it and got a lot of grief. People started calling him player for about six months but he hates it. I mean he should have done that?” she sighed.

“Who was your best friend?” I asked, I felt really bad for her already and I didn’t even know her. I would not go out with an ex player. What’s that saying, once a player always a player?

“She left after that happened but her name was Sarah,” she said. My eyes widened.

“Sarah Lightener?” I asked, and Scarlett shook her head.

Few, for second I thought she was talking about Sarah back home. After all she had been new from last year.

“Crests,” she told me. I nodded not knowing at all who she was but understanding.

“Hey guys are we still up for tomorrow,” Becca asked us.

“What’s happening tomorrow?” I thought out loud. Weren’t we supposed to go to class or something?

“What you didn’t expect us to stay in all day did you?” Scarlett questioned me.

“Were going shopping,” both Becca and Scarlett shouted in elusion causing all three of us to laugh.

“Great!” I exclaimed.

Shopping the next day with Scarlett and Rebecca was great. We hadn’t gotten ready after breakfast as fast as we could. We wanted to get as much shopping done as there was a party at someone house in the evening. We were allowed to go out for the day but had to be back in the dorm by eleven pm.

We arrived in the nearest shopping centre by bus. The centre was huge. It had all different kinds of shops from River Island to Topshop. It was great and just as I thought we had to be kept in the boarding house like a prison.

First we went into boots to check for some make-up, and what not. We messed about putting on silly eye shadow and laughing with each other. I got to admit we were acting quite childish but it was alot of fun messing about. That was until we got kicked out.

We took it as a warning to behave because we did actually need to shop. We had a party tonight of course.

“Right, I’m looking for a dress that gets his attention you know,” Scarlett said scanning around the shop we were now in.

“Who’s the guy?” Becca and I said together, we knew there was a guy Scarlett liked but she had kept it quite from us for a while.

Scarlett covered her mouth whishing she hadn’t said anything but too bad she had.
