Mark was waiting to get a mic so the audience could hear his voice at PAX. He was there with Ken, Jack, and most importantly, Felix. No matter how popular the Septiplier fandom got, PewDiePlier always had something that it didn't-and that was that it was real.
Everyone, even Wade, could tell they were getting closer. Closer than friends should get. They had an undying love no one could deny. But the two did deny it. They denied that through many co-labs, conventions, and visits, they were in love. But it was hard to keep in contact all the time, since Felix lived in Brighton, and Mark in L.A. They had a whole ocean, and a country, between them.
But, on special occasions such as this, they stuck together as if they were connected at the hip. Mark or Felix would start staring at one another, then look away, embarrassed. Jack and Ken would sigh and look at one another, shaking their heads. This had to stop some time.
Felix was still leading Marzia on. He didn't truly love her. That's probably why they postponed the wedding. Well, Felix, postponed the wedding. And Mark seemed almost relieved when Jack told him over Skype.
"There you go Mark, you're all set," The helpers back stage fitted on the mic. Mark, Felix, Ken, and Jack would be out on stage in less than a minute. Felix was no where to be found.
Mark looked around around, twitching. He was especially nervous. He had always been so calm before the panels. The only way he could get calm was as if Felix was there. He always had a weird way of making him happy and/or calm. Mark switched his mic off.
"One Minute!" a stage hand said, whisper yelling.
They all nodded. Mark continued to look around him. "Felix!" He said, walking over to the bathroom, which you could see had the light on under the door. "Dude, come on!" He heard shuffling inside. The door suddenly burst open with Felix pushing Mark over and him pinning Mark to the ground. Of course, all by accident.
The two were face to face. Felix was as red as the... bonnet... he was wearing. Mark laughed, his mic still off. Felix laughed as well, still not making a move to get off. Mark looked over to Ken, who was motioning for them to get up.
"Sorry bro." He whispered to Mark. It all happened in a flash as Felix kissed right next to Mark's lips, the realization not hitting him until Mark was up besides him with an uncontrollable smile. Both faces were flushed, Felix's even more so now than it was before. "S-Sorry.. bro.." Felix stuttered. Mark chuckled and said a quick 'no problem' before winking at him.
Ken headed out to the stage, starting off by introducing Mark. Then Jack. Then Felix, the guy in the red bonnet.
Time Skip
After the panel, they all gathered backstage for the next one in about an hours time. They had time to do whatever, which usually was a rare occurrence. This was a weird PAX this year. It was getting weirder too.
There was a small circle of pullout chairs. Ken sat down, Mark next to him. Felix raced for the spot next to Mark, but Jack beat him there and smirked at Felix. What was up with Jack? Felix frowned but quickly replaced it with a smile as he took a seat next to Jack. He was listening to the conversation Ken and Mark were having. It was nothing interesting, so, naturally, Felix jumped in.
"Bros, did you see everyone when they saw my bonnet?" Felix chuckled, remembering when he got on stage. They all looked up and smiled remembering it. But Mark didn't smile. Or laugh. Or even give any indication he was listening to what was happening. No one noticed, except for Felix who tried to keep a smile on his face.
"Hey, Fe," Mark started, "Can I talk to you.. alone?"
"Y-Yeah sure." He was shocked to say the least.
Mark stood, motioning for Felix to follow. They both walked over to a spot that was hidden from sight, and probably hearing, of their other two friends.
"So, about earlier. When you... y'know.." Mark blushed and looked to the floor. Felix looked at the ceiling, also blushing as well. He was thinking about what to say-and if he were to say anything at all.
"Yeah, sorry about about that. I don't know what I was thinking when I did it. It's just usually my way of saying sorry to Marzia, and I guess I just got mixed up or confused or-or-or-" Mark grabbed his hand. Felix's eyes shot open as Mark grabbed his other hand and wrapped them around his waist.
"You see, Felix," Mark moved closer, his eyes shining. "I want that more. I-I want to be Marzia. I want to be near you, to.. touch you. Because Felix, I love you." Mark closed the gap between them, wrapping his arms around Felix's neck, pushing his lips onto the others. It only lasted about five seconds before Mark slowly pulled away a smile stretching across his tan face. Felix just stood there in awe as something he'd been waiting for for so long finally happened. Felix's arms were still tightly wrapped around Mark's waist. "I love you." Mark said quieter, stepping back and pulling his arms to his sides. Mark nodded and chuckled a bit before heading over to their friends.
Felix was frozen still. His lips were red, breathing was quickened, face pale but cheeks flushed red. When Mark kissed him, it was as if fireworks went off inside both of them.
"Fe!" He heard Jack yell to him. Felix snapped out of the trance and walked back out to everyone. He sat down next to Jack, who was still bordering Mark with Ken.
"Hey, dude, is something wrong?" Ken asked with concern in his voice. Felix bit his lip, looking back at Mark. He then smiled.
"Nothing. Nothing at all." Felix plopped down in his seat, looking ahead of himself dreamily.
"You're awfully flustered, Fe. Did something happen?" Jack asked, clearly knowing something did. Felix sat up, shaking out of a dreamy trance, yet again. He stopped smiling.
"No. I said nothing. It's fine!" He started getting defensive. Jack put his hands up in surrender.
"I was just making sure you were okay," Jack stifled laughter, "After all, Mark did just confess his love for you-oh and that kiss, I'm guessing was just perfect!" Jack held in laughter as both of their faces drained of color. How did he know?
"How..-" Mark was cut off.
Jack groaned. "You've been staring at each other this whole time non stop. It's not like we couldn't see Felix land on top of you and just lay there. And then, when you went to talk, I just had a feeling in my gut something was going to happen." He looked at both of them. Mouths were wide open. Ken sighed and got up.
"Guys, everyone knows you like each other. Even Wade knows!" He chuckled before sitting back down. He stroked his beard. "It was just so noticeable!"
"But how do you know what we were talking about?" Felix said.
"Um, you're red in the face, both of you. Felix's hair was messed up. Man, you can almost hear the heart beat in your chest. Plus," he paused shaking his head, "We're still close enough to hear, if you didn't know." Now that they think about it, it was actually close enough to hear. It was about 20 feet away and it's not like the two were whispering.
Felix sighed, sinking deeper into his seat, he rubbed his temples.
"What's Felix going to tell Marzia?" Ken interjected.
"Hell am I supposed to know!" Felix snapped back.
"Come one, it was just one kiss a-and you don't even have to tell Marzia." Mark assured him.
"There's one thing we know," Jack said, holding back a smile. He didn't wait for anyone to ask. "Mark and Fe are in love! They're in love!" He shouted at the top of his lungs.
"Jack!" The two shouted in unison.
