It was about four AM and Mark, Ethan, and Felix were all playing Golf With Friends. The silent music in the background was being overpowered by the screams of rage and frustration-yet Getting Over It was far more rage-worthy.
"COME ON! How are you even supposed to do this hole?!" Felix yelled in frustration.
"I don't know-maybe you just suck." Mark said as he relaxed, pushing himself farther into the gaming chair that was right across from Felix.
"What'd you say?" Felix was fake-fuming with a pouty face. Ethan was also laughing silently on the other end.
Mark yawned, nearly falling out of his chair. "I'm too tired. Why can't we just go to sleep?" He made a shot that was aimed in the exact opposite direction of the hole. Ethan was still laughing, trying not to fall off his chair.
"No we can't. Not until I get a hole in one." Felix answered back.
"I'm going offline." Ethan said out of breath. His stomach hurt and he wanted to leave. They all said goodbye as he left the Skype call, leaving Mark and Felix alone. The only light in the room was coming from Mark and Felix's PCs.
The sound of a mouse angrily being clicked over and over again with soft grumbles of 'god fucking dammit' were all that could be heard. Felix licked his lips anxiously, his face covered with condensation as he aimed. The ball was putted through the air, hitting a target, bouncing off to the next and then the next. It rolled over slowly as it hit the ground... "Come on!" Felix said quietly, biting down on his lip. It rolled closer to the hole.. and closer and closer. coming to the edge and falling right in. He got a hole in one.
"Ha bitch!" He exclaimed, arms pumped up into the air like an excited child. "Mark, I got a hole in...." he glanced over. "...one" Mark was silently asleep in his chair. His head was tilted to the side and his eyes were closed. A small smirk stretched on his stubbled face as his breathing gently flowed up and down. Felix smiled at the spectacle across the room. Mark muttered in his sleep, drool slyly dripping on his chin.
"Guess you really were tired.." His words going unacknowledged. Felix, a smile still adorned on his skinny face, trotted across the room, completely disregarding his sudden victory. There was a blanket in a basket under his desk, which Felix grabbed. It was plushy and white with black dogs paws on it. He chuckled at the cloth in his hands and laid it over a sleeping Mark. He shut down the system in front of him took one more minute to admire his friend. But he couldn't help but place a good night kiss on the tan forehead before turning his own set up off and walk out of the room to go to sleep in the guest room.
