Tony's POV
The first day of band camp was already in session. The blazing hot sun was beating down against my back. I got to the field 30 minutes before the students arrived, to see the list of new people on the roster.
As I was looking through I saw we were getting You a new teacher, his name was Dominic. It's been a while since I've seen a new band instructor, hopefully he gets here soon.
30 minutes later
I can't believe how hot it is, I've been sweating so much that there's a visible sweat mark on my back. And on top of that Dominic still hasn't shown up.
As I was getting the kids in formation I saw him. His Afro bouncing up and down with each stride he took. I could feel my face heat up and immediately turned away.
How could I let the new guy see me like this. Oh this is so bad for a first impression.
I continued to work not looking at him directly. I was backing up just as a safety precaution, and then it happened.
The man I was trying so hard to avoid was standing back to back with me. I looked at him, nervous of what would happen next. How could I speak to a man so unique looking.
I apologized after looking in his eyes for a minute. Hopefully he didn't notice, we had to get back to work thankfully, I don't know how long I could keep a calm act around him.
After our lunch break I decided to not see Dominic. After all what if he was uncomfortable looking at be after touching my back. I was filled with regret.
I did the only thing I knew how to do and hid. I was out for the rest of day so it not like I was hurting anyone, but I did tell mom that I wouldn't be home until later in the day. She already threatened to kick me out I don't want to get on her bad side even more.
I just hope no one finds me.
