"Guys come on! Were finnabe late for your first day" i shouted to the kids. It was quiet then i heard giggling making me smile. They came down the stairs dodging boxes on the stairs. I still hadn't unpacked everything, i was doing that Saturday.
"Daddy can you brush my hair?" My daughter, Francesca asked. I nealed down to her hight.
"If you want me to comb it then you gotta go get the brush and let me get your brother ready first." I said pinching her cheak and kissing the top of her head as she skipped off.
"SHAE, GET YA STANKY ASS OVER HERE" i shouted as he giggled and ran around with no clothes on giggling.
"I aint wanna go" he kept shouting. I rolled my eyes. This boy right here
"You better get over here or you aint going to Boxing with Uncle Omar and Eli after school" i said making him stop and come right over to me.
"Are you coming tonight Dad?" he asked me. I nodded holding his bottoms for him to slip into.
"Later on, after i drop Franny at Dancing" i said. I had very active kids, i was proud as hell of 'em.
"Will uncle Gazzy be there?" He asked as i slipped his t-shirt over his head.
"He should be bubba" i said as he smiled brightly showing his teeth, or what was left of 'em. "Now go eat ya breakfast" i said watching him run away.
"Here you go daddy" Franny said handing me her comb as i pulled it gently through her silky black hair. "Can you put my rows back in tonight?" She asked.
"You got dancing and i gotta sign Shae and me up with this boxing place" i reminded her.
"This weekend, I'll ask if uncle Omar will keep Shae and me and you can go shopping and I'll do your hair ok?" I asked her. She nodded as i brushed her hair sending her to go get her book bag.
"A'ite you done Shae?" I asked. He nodded and hopped off his seat and ran to go and get his book bag behind Franny.
It was late september but it was still warm. The Miami heat making me feel sweaty and dirty, i was used to it though.
I drove to the school, Shae and Franny arguing the whole time about whos stronger.
"Daaaaaaad tell Shae im older so im stronger" Franny said. I laughed. Franny was a tough kid. She was strong and she sure knew how to throw a punch and protect herself. That was the first thing i ever taught her.
"Im stronger than you both so pipe down" i told them, they both giggled, they were so goffy.
"But daddy im stronger im a boy" he said making Franny sigh.
"Boys arent always stronger buddy, but nice try" i said pulling up to the school.
"Aite get out" i joked as they both unbuckled their seet belts and scrambled out the car as i went to the boot and took out their things handing them to them.
"I love you guys, stay safe and remember what i told you guy" i said hugging them both.
"Smile, it confuses people" they both said smiling. I nodded.
"Good, now go enjoy school, ill see you both at 2.30" i shouted as they skipped off.
